Warmth surrounded me from all edges. I was perfectly fine staying here, in the sheltered warmth of the shell I occupied. It was all for me. All for me, me, me. Nobody else would share it, and I was fine with that. It was nice in here, comforting. I didn't want to move out. It was great. But something made me push at the eggshell. I needed something outside! "It isn't going to make it," a sad voice said, startling me, making me jump back instinctively and crash on the eggshell, breaking it. I fell out, the rest of the eggshell rolling away. Gentle talons dragged me closer to them. "Naming." I smelled some others behind me. "The runt made it, Radium .." someone said, "A miracle." "Amazing kin! Except for .." Who? I smelled larger children beside me. One even tripped over me, making me yelp as my snout started to bleed a little. I whimpered. "That one." "What should we name them , Chloros?" 'Radium' asked. "This sky blue one can be called Emperor. He truly will rule Sonaria." My father boasted. "The red one ... this is a hard one. Does Plutonium sound good?" "That sounds amazing." Mother said warmly as I squeaked. "Waht about the middle one?" Chloros asked. I think I picke dup his name from an earlier conversation. Even without opening my eyes they didn't want to name me. I was going to die anyways. "Erm .. Inca! Why don't you name her, you're my sister after all."

"Mom? When can we hunt?" Emperor asked, whining once again. I was jumping around the cave, and Plutonium was being her boring self and eyeing a Wystora as it grazed. Emperor just played with a few rocks in the corner, pretending they had superpowers or something of the sort. "Bug, you know you can't hunt by pack rules until you're old enough." "WHEN is old enough!" I complained, sitting down with a huff. "When you're a teenager." "But that's SO long. Why can't we hunt now?" Emperor agreed. Plutonium just eyed us like we were both bugs. "Listen to your elders." She said coldly. "YOU'RE a kid too, Pluto!" I shot back "Don't call me that wretched name." "You guys call me bug!" I argued "Yeah, because you're a runt! I'm not a planet!" "Ugh. You might as well be. You're so inhospitable!" Emperor laughed. "That's true, Pluto." "What did I say about Pluto?" Plutonium told us in an expressionless voice. "That's enough, you all." Inca said, entering the room. I had always looked up to my aunt. Emperor looked up to my mother. Plutonium looked down on us all.

"Inca ..." Radium said warningly, eyeing Bug and her siblings with a 'get out' look. Of course, they didn't listen, not even Plutonium, who took her eyes off the Wystora below to stare at Inca "What, it can't be that bad. Old pack rules can't stop juveniles from learning." "Inca!" Radium said dramatically "They aren't old!" "Hate to break it to you, but they're literally thousands of years old. Just once wont hurt."
