Chapter 4

ALYSSAS POV

I wake up with arms around my waist and I smile remembering what had happened last night "good morning" I hear a raspy voice say

"Good morning" I say back while smiling "how did you sleep?" I ask "like a baby" "same"

"You hungry?" Billie asks "yeah" "what would you like to eat" she asks "it doesn't matter whatever you want to eat" I turn around and face her

"No it's up to you I'll eat anything as long as it's vegan" "vegan pancakes sound good if that's cool with you"I say

"No that's fine I can make them" me and billie walk downstairs and we both go to the kitchen "do you need help with anything" I ask her wanting to help

"No you can sit on the couch if you'd like" "okay" I go to the couch and go on my phone seeing a bunch of texts and missed calls from my brother

So I text him back and tell him I just slept at Billie's and went onto Instagram and when I got bored of that i went onto tiktok

I hear footsteps coming towards me "hey the pancakes are done" "okay" I get up and walk with billie to the kitchen table

I eat a piece of the pancake and instantly moan at the taste "you make bomb ass pancakes" "thank you" billie laughs

We finish eating "thank you for making that" "no problem mama"

*a couple hours later*

"Hey Billie can you bring me back home my mom wants me home?" I say to billie shutting my phone off

"Yeah of course. You have everything?" "Yeah" we walk to her car and she opens the door for me "thank you" "mhm"

We get to my house "thank you for dropping me off I'll text you later" "yeah of course"

I walk inside and see my mom on the couch along with my brother "what's going on guys" I ask my mom and brother

"We need to talk" my mom says "about what" I say confused "yeah mom what's going on" my brother Lucas says

My moms eyes start to tear up and I run to her and hug her "what's wrong mom" I say concerned

"I- it's y- your grandma s-she p-passed away today" my mom starts to sob and I start to sob

Billies POV
*timeskip a couple hours*

I just got a text from Alyssa saying to come over so I'm about to leave now "where are you going" Finneas says "Alyssa's she asked me to go over there why" "just wondering" "oh okay. Can you tell mom that I'm leaving?" "Yeah"

I get in my car and drive to Alyssa's when I get there I text her saying I'm here

As I get up to the door it swings open and Alyssa jumps into my arms sobbing

"Hey hey what's wrong" I say confused but instead of responding she continues to sob I walk into her house and into the living room with her wrapped around me

"Angel what's wrong" I ask when she finishes' sobbing "m-my grandma p-passed away" she starts sobbing again "oh I'm sorry" I say giving her a sympathetic look
