Secrets Are A Girls Best Friend.

Hope used to tell me Secrets are a girls best friend but what have there done to me? What has she done to me?

At Little Susie's, me and my friends are out having a meal. I haven't seen Britney Fields after her outing Doll Master to the police, I'm kinda scared for her safety. I now know what Hope is capable off and it's not pretty. Like how my mind is not pretty. Every time I have an anxious sweat on my hands I see a strangers blood on my hands and every time I hear a door slam I'm back in that barn. I hate it. 

I'm drinking my milkshake and start staring into space again. Nicki waves her hand in-front of my face and asks "Court, are you there?!" 

I snap up and admit "Sorry I was having a flashback again." 

"Don't apologise. We will take Hope and her helper down." Nicki says back to me. 

I take a sip of my milkshake again and sadly say "I hope so." 

It's been two days since I escaped the barn and found out it was Hope behind everything with someone helping her. The police have been looking for her but she's good at hiding which I know but I still feel her everywhere. Like her eyes and ears are everywhere and I'm hyper-vigilant all the time. The lack of texts has made me uneasy like something really bad is about to erupt. 

I'm surprised that Hope hasn't exposed one of our other secrets. One night when we were 13 we snuck into a frat party and took pictures of the teachers doing some questionable things with the sorority girls. I felt uncomfortable seeing the teachers secrets right in front of me but that's when Hope said to me... 

"It's okay Court." Hope smirks and says "Secrets are a girls best friend."

Maybe all that was all apart of this game. Now when I look back it probably was and that hurts me to the core. Like when we locked Britney in that room in that house on Halloween. Come to think of it, it was a man-made crack. 

Stefan comes up to us with some darts and proposes "How about we have a game of darts?" 

"I would love too." I smile and flaunt "I'm going to take your asses down by the way!" 

"I'd like to see you try Miss Marin!" Milton says with his signature smile. 

I laugh and say "Alrighty, it's on!" 

Maybe after everything I've been through I can still have a laugh with my best friends. Even though my anxiety is telling me to stay home and not come out ever again. It keeps trying to pull me back into my bed and keep me captive there but I can't let it win. So I'm out with my friends and I texted Rose about a date to the cinema because Michael Jackson's short film Ghosts is showing there at the weekend and since it's close to Halloween it makes sense for us to see the scary short film. I've been living a scary short film for the past three weeks so it's like a poetic thing I suppose.

I do a happy dance when I get a bullseye. "Told y'all I would take ya down!" I say with a cocky smirk then I take a sip of my drink. My phone pings and my heart races then I look up at my friends who heard it too. Maybe Hope and her helper are ready to come out of the shadows? I am scared to know the answer but I can't let them scare me away anymore. 

"Is it from them?' Stefan asks me. They come to my side while I get my phone out. 

Nicki and Milton look at each other with anxious looks. They walk towards me and I'm feeling the nerves and the cattle prod hitting my body. The urge to be sick has come back and suddenly the strangers blood is back on my hands as my hands start to sweat. I daren't look because I know it's back on my hands. "Breath! You've got us in this fight now and if it's them then we take it straight to Detective Fitz-Amobi and Miss Rojas." Nicki states to me.
