The begining

Riverdale has been calm lately. Nothing happening. For once it was calm. Jugheads been with the serpents. Training with them. Going out with them. Growing closer with Toni, Fangs, and Sweet Pea. They know practically everything about each other. Except. Jughead has a secret. He's sick. He has Cystic Fibrosis, specifically Burkholderia cepacia complex. Better known as CF and B.cepacia. What is that you ask? Well, ​​Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an inherited disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs, digestive system, and other organs in the body. Cystic fibrosis affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat, and digestive juices. It causes these fluids to become thick and sticky. They then plug up tubes, ducts, and passageways. Burkholderia cenocepacia is an opportunistic pathogen particularly dangerous for cystic fibrosis (CF) patients. It can cause a severe decline in CF lung function possibly developing into a life-threatening systemic infection known as cepacia syndrome. In simple terms, he can't breathe well and is terminal with little cure.

Only his father knows this. Why you may ask? Well, as the leader of the South Side Serpents he can't look weak. He has to be the strong leader of the gang. If they knew about his illness they would look at him as weak. As unfit to lead. That's why they will never know.

Jughead POV:

I wake up to my alarm. I get up to take my morning pills and to do my Afflo vest for the morning. Grabbing my morning pills and a cup of chocolate pudding I sit in my chair and start to mix it. While mixing my pudding pill contraption I can't help but remember Stella. My beautiful Stella. The one who made me want to live. Who made me complete my regimen. The one who stopped me from actually jumping off the roof. I wipe the stray tear off my face as I begin to eat my pudding pill concoction.

Finishing my pudding I stand up to throw it away. Grabbing my phone I go and sit down in my chair by the wall where my Afflo vest is. Putting it on and turning it on I get comfortable in my chair. Turning on and unlocking my phone I open up youtube and head to Stella's channel. I click on one of my favorite videos of her. The video in which she is with her sister Abby. "Hello, World!" She starts the usual intro. I smile sadly as I watch the video. Soon it is time to take off my Afflo Vest.

Eating as much breakfast as I could muster I grab the oxygen tank that I keep in my satchel. Putting in the nasal cannula, and grabbing my mask I walk out the door. You see I wear the mask only on the drive to school. As nobody ever sees me in the morning on my way to school I can wear the mask to cover the nasal cannula with my jacket covering the tube line. I enter the school and head to my locker. As I am early nobody has yet to arrive. Turning off my oxygen tank and stuffing the cannula into the bag I put my stuff in my locker.

Going through my day with no issues as I spend lunch with Sweet Pea, Tori, Cheryl, Archie, Betty, and Veronica. No complications arrive until my free period. Suddenly out of breath I head inside the school from the table I spend my free period I head to my locker. As I am about to grab my oxygen tank a white light flashes and suddenly I am in a theater.
