Y/N's POV
'Mr Gray. If you don't get up now, you won't make it in time for your class registration.' The sound of the artificial voice echoed throughout my room.
Without hesitation I let out an audibly loud groan. 'Damn it. Why did I let Riley take me out drinking the night before the semester starts.'
Trying to roll over and realising that there was a lingering migraine from the previous night, I didn't particularly feel like getting up. 'Sol, can you give me the time, along with how long it will take me to drive to the University?'
'Yes sir. The time is 8:27, judging by the current traffic updates, it will take you approximately 15 minutes to reach the University. However this does mean you have less than 15 minutes to get ready.'
'Well, I guess its time to get my ass into gear.'
Looking over, I realised that my phone had been non stop buzzing. Unlocking it, there was about 30 missed calls, followed by a spam of messages from Riley.
Dumb Nut
Gray!
Get your ass up!
You good?
Are you dead?
Since I'm assuming you're still asleep, I'll meet you in class. The messages bought a smile to my face, making me chuckle.
Riley had been my best friend since I started at University. Since I was a few years older than him, him being 21 and I being 25, I struggled to find people to become friends with. Choosing not to attend university for 4 years was my own choice. I had been working on stuff in-between to which you could say I took an extended gap year.
My father hadn't really approved of me going to study both Engineering and Russian Language since I need to study two subjects. He had much rather I had come work with him and his friends since I honed the same engineering skills as himself and was quite the tech whiz. Apparently I could help make a difference. However with how much of his life his work consumed, I wanted to live out as much of my life as possible before thinking about committing to the same lifestyle as him. I wanted to experience as much as a normal life as possible.
Knowing that I have a short amount of time to get ready, I brush my teeth, get changed and spray on some cologne before calling out to my artifical assistant again. 'Sol, can you make sure the car is pulled up outside for me please?'
'Which car will you be requesting today sir?'
I snatch up my bag from the counter and head for the lift, taking a moment to think of which of the cars to take. 'Bring out my favourite Sol'
'Right away Sir.'

Quickly glancing at my watch, I realised it was 9:03 as I pulled up in the parking lot. Grabbing my bag from the passenger seat and shoving the car door open, I climbed out.
Come on. I refuse to be yelled at by the old man on my first day. Even with it being my last year.
Within a second I went from a jog into a sprint toward the campus building, turning to lock the car behind me.
After a couple more minutes of sprinting, I skid to a halt infront of my lecture hall door, taking in a breath and sighing, knowing that the professor would have already been starting the lecture.
Mr Dreykov wasn't the nicest of people. He was what you'd expect when people say 'Grumpy old man'. He was quite literally that. Even though I had been a pain throughout his classes, he always seemed to pick on me out of everyone in the class. Everyone knew it was wrong but nobody ever said anything about it.
Shakily I open the door, looking in the direction of where the rather large man would usually be stood, instead there not being anyone there. In confusion I looked around, seeing Riley motioning to me from the back of the room.
I scurried to find my seat next to him and shoved my bag underneath the desks.
'Well you look like absolute shit.'
I glared at him before flipping him off and pushing my head onto the cold wooden desk.
'Oh you think? That seems to happen when your best friend convinces you that a night of booze, dancing and flirting is a good idea the day before the new semester. Our FINAL semester may I add.'
Riley holds back from laughing, a small snort escaping him. Reaching across I punch him in the arm.
'Come on! You got to admit, it was a great night.'
A smirk spread across the corner of my mouth, my head tilting to look at him. 'Yeah. It was.'
Another 5 minutes past and Mr Dreykov still hadn't arrived. My eyes scanned the room to the other students, who didn't seem remotely bothered by it.
Everyone's eyes shot to the door as it flew open, a unidentifiable figure strutted inside. The only words able to come out of my mouth, escaped in barely a whisper. 'Holy shit'
In walked probably the most perfect looking women I had ever seen. She was quite small, her heels making her look taller than she appeared. She had gorgeous copper hair, that was tied in a braid and fell over her shoulder. From observation, I could see her eyes were an emerald green. She was wearing a knee height black skirt that hugged her figure and a white suit shirt with the first couple of buttons undone at the top tucked into the figure-hugging skirt.
I felt a sharp pain as an elbow came in contact with my ribs. I winced, the pain causing me to look at where it came from. Riley was sat with a massive grin on his face.
'Boy. Your jaw couldn't have been any closer to the floor if you tried.'
I felt myself become flushed and slouched down into my seat, my arms folding across my chest as to try not to look too obvious that I had been most definitely staring as she entered.
'I-I wasn't st-staring. I just wasn't expecting a woman to walk in.'
'Mhm. Say that all you want y/n. But I know you better than anyone, I know that you were checking her out.'
The attention of everyone in the class diverted to the woman at the front of the room once she started talking. 'As I'm sure all of you are aware, I'm not Mr Dreykov. My name is Miss Rushman. I will be your Russian Language teacher for your final year.'
One student raises their hands, she notices and nods to them, allowing them to ask their question. 'What exactly happened to Mr Dreykov?'
'Mr Dreykov had an accident over the course of the summer vacation. His injuries aren't too serious but the University has deemed him unfit to work for a couple of semesters.'
The class erupted into whispers as students whispered to each other, probably trying to figure out every little detail. I was more focused on our new teacher.
She hushed the class, those captivating dark emerald green eyes skipping across the room full of hushed voices, her gaze stopping on me whilst a soft smirk crept upon her lips. 'I look forward to teaching you.'
Miss Rushman. . . This year is going to be a fun one.
A/N:
Heyo everyone. This is my first time writing a fanfiction/story so I do apologise if my writing isn't too good.
I do plan to rewrite the story out once I've completed it. I'm going to try my best to get chapters out as quickly as I can but you may have to bare with me.
Hope you all enjoy :)
