The realization

Midoriyas pov:
I sit there on the floor for a couple minutes before I stand up to get my tea, which is not long cold but I don't mind

I grab the cup and go sit down on the couch with a sinking feeling in my stomach, I feel terrible for what I said I shouldn't have hit him either..
'ugh! I'm so stupid..!! Why did I hit him!!'
I took a sip of my cold tea and kacchan came out of the bathroom with a clean shirt and a towel wrapped around his head, he looked funny

I looked at him and giggled at the sight of the messy towel wrapped around his head
"Do you need help with that?"
I said with a laugh
He shook his head and scoffed
"I don't need your damn help deku."
"You sure? Your towels falling off"
And as soon as I said that, down went the towel, as soon as it hit the ground i burst out laughing and go over to help him put it on right no matter how many times he shoved me away
"I said I don't need your damn help deku!"
"Yeah say that to the towel that just fell off your bleeding head,"
I wrapped it on securely and smiled at him, he just scoffed and walked away
"Hey! Don't I at least get a thanks?"
I asked jokingly I wasn't expecting him to say it back,
"Thanks damn nerd,"
He walked to his room and slammed the door behind him,

My face was a red as a tomato and that's when I realized..
"Oh shit..I think I'm in love.."
I say as I plop down on the couch, I go to drink my tea when Mina burst in
"I heard someone's in love!! Who is it?!"
She said jumping onto the couch next to me while smiling
"Uh..well you see—"
I try to say but she shushes me she wants gossip, and quick I can tell by the greedy look in her eyes

I sigh
"Go make some tea,"
I say as she runs to the kitchen squealing
I laugh, this is what we normally do on Friday afternoons, sit down, drink some tea and gossip about our classmates, whether it's good gossip or bad, no one else ever shared anyone of our gossip session information to another living soul other than me, mina, sero (Mina's boyfriend) todoroki, and kaminari, but..I have a bad feeling about telling her I like kacchan..

She sits back down and I sigh
"Well, spit it out already!!"
She shouts I shush her really quickly
"Shhh!!! This is important..I think.."
I gulp and she stares at me intensely while sipping her tea
"I think i like kacchan!!"
I start blushing so badly that I'm practically a tomato, she squeals in delight that one of her best friends has a crush,
"That so cute!!! I definitely see it working out perfectly! So when are you gonna tell him?"
I look down into my cup and take a sip
"That's the problem mina..I don't know if I wanna tell him.."
"What?!?"
She yells nearly making me spill my tea all over myself
"Shhhh!!!"
"Why not?! Why won't you tell him!!"
"Because!! We just rekindled our friendship..!! I don't wanna ruin that by confessing..!! Plus.. it might just be a phase..?"
She starts shouting about how it would be so cute if I did confess until aizawa sensei says lights out

I put me and Mina's tea cups in the sink and say goodnight and walk to my room, it was at the far corner of the hallway leading to the boys side of the dorms, that means that I could say goodnight to kacchan!!
I gently open his door
"Kacchan..? You up..?""
"What do you want damn nerd,"
"I just wanted to say goodnight.."
"Yeah well you said it, now go to bed I'm tired as hell right now"
I close the door and sigh, 'why is kacchan always so rude!'
I go to my room and flop on the bed and gently drift asleep while staring at the ceiling, thinking what it would be like actually getting together with kacchan and having it work out..
