"So I'm guessing this is goodbye?" I muttered.
"This isn't goodbye Scarlet," Dylan protested, "You make it sound like I'm not going to return, I'll be with you guys again soon." He explained as he closed the back door.
"How soon?" I bit my tongue, doing my best to prevent the tears from falling. I'm pretty sure I can taste blood.
"In a few years," He shrugged, "Maybe more, but I'll be back."
My friends and I are here in front of Dylan's house because unfortunately, he's going to be moving out. From California, he and his family would be moving to New York because his father was re-assigned.
"Is it just me or I think Dylan likes the fact that he's moving across the state," Brandon stated. He's right, unlike me, Dylan acts like he couldn't care less.
"Because we're only 13 and there's no time to be emotional and shit," How can one not be emotional? "But I guess Scar doesn't count because she's a girl."
"You're a sexist bastard, Jake." Lucas said.
"I'm doing my best," He grinned. I'm not sure what he meant by that, but no one ever understands Jake.
"Shut up Jake," Dylan said as he put his arms around me, "Aren't you going to miss me?"
I knew it was a joke, there's this bromance between Dylan and Jake. I was their no. 1 fan, and still is.
"Dylan! Time to say goodbye!" We heard Aunt Livia shout from the driver's seat, my smile immediately turned into a frown, and in a snap, all my tears fell.
"I'm going to miss you," I whispered.
"I will too, I'll see you soon Scar." He said hugging me.
"Don't forget to bring home hot chics!" I rolled my eyes at Jake's statement, that was typical of him
Skylar pulled me out of Dylan's grasp, he put his arms around me and rubbed my arms trying to comfort me. "We'll miss you, man."

Hi guys, this is our first story, literally. I joined Wattpad 3 years ago and all I do was read, so my friends and I decided to write a story and give it a shot. Here it is! And I hope you'll figure out why the title is "change" soon :)

Oh, I can assure you that this may or may not be a cliche story. Like I said, I'm just a starter.
