Jax threw herself back onto her couch. She had finished unpacking the car of everything she would need, having left some essentials in the car in case she needed to make a quick getaway. Stretching her legs out and her arms up she enjoyed the disorienting fuzziness that overcame her, before sinking into the plush chair. A familiar sound chimed. Picking up her phone her face lit up with recognition. Pressing the notification, she opened the app.

"Aaaaaammmmiiiiiiiii!!!" Six familiar faces appeared on the screen, with Jin screaming out for his fans. Jax's eyes narrowed as she looked over the boys as they settled down. They looked tired. The dark circles under their eyes, the way Jungkook swayed from side to side, slightly more erratic than normal, the way they were slightly dishevelled in their presentation. Their smiles do not reach their eyes.

"Hold up... JK, Joon, Yoongs, Hobi, Tae, Jin... Oh shit... Jimin" She felt her pulse quicken, an ache in her heart. She sat forward in anxious anticipation as she waited.

"Hi guys" Yoongi greeted with a wave of his hands before turning to the others who were staring straight ahead, looking a little stunned. He nudged Namjoon in the ribs gently which seemed to snap him out of his daze.

"Hu... Hey ARMY. It's... I know it's been a while. I'm sorry we haven't been in touch, we have been busy, like the rest of you, trying to stay safe, trying to survive. We still have power here. But the zombie situation... well... it's bad."

"Really bad" Jungkook piped up, a tear spilling down his cheek. His chin quivered, his mouth opening to say something before he thought better of it and closed it again. Taehyung looked over at Jungkook before silently moving behind him and wrapping him in a hug, resting his chin on his shoulder.

"We have been following what news reports we can, apparently this is happening all around the world. So, we know you are all going through the same thing. We we have lost friends, family, amazing people in the industry. So many people gone before we could even say goodbye." Jin sniffled and took a moment to centre himself before he continued, Yoongi's hand gently resting on his thigh, reassuring him he wasn't alone. "As you can see, we are in one of our practice rooms in the Hybe building. We are grateful for the safety and security of the company's building, we still have many staff here that are helping us out. We have been helping them with supply runs-" Jax could hear the crack in his voice as he closed his eyes and winced.

"We we have lost so many staff members before we even got back here." Hoseok continued, a hand reaching over to squeeze Jin's shoulder. "We... we sent Jimin out on a supply run with three other staff members. We... we've been trying to do our part to help, it's not ok to have others put their lives on the line for us and not do anything. But they've been gone longer than we anticipated, and we didn't want to worry you but..." Jax's hand went straight to her mouth, and she gasped.

"It's been way too long." Jungkook blurted out. "He's missing and we dont know if hes c-"

A loud clatter was heard from the side and all six faces turned to look at where the noise came from, surprise etched on their faces.

"They're back!" an excited voice exclaimed from off screen. Jin, Namjoon, Taehyung, and Jungkook all jumped up from their seats and ran out of view as Yoongi and Hoseok collapsed back into their seats, Jax releasing a breath she didn't realise she was holding. Her heart was beating so fast as she waited to find out if he was alright.

The comments section was going crazy with worry and words of comfort from ARMY. There were of course, always the comments that made you roll your eyes and groan out loud, the comments that made Jax embarrassed to be in the same fandom as some people, but mostly, the comments were full of love and concern for the welfare of the boys and their staff. Many people asked that the staff go instead of the boys and as much as Jax held the same sentiments, she understood their need to do their part, to work hard and to make sure the others were safe too.
