-Present Day-
BOGOTA, 150 MILES SOUTH OF COLUMBIA : What the Columbian's think this is a Drug Deal, the DNI have not idea its a piece of technology being sold.
"This device can access anything on the net, targeted power kills, banking, stock markets, blockchains, emails.... look south..." Elijah Clarke watches impressed as you young Columbian takes out a cargo plane from his laptop before blocking out all communications and tv in Bogota.
"And this is the only one?" The gruff Brit asks.
"Try to make a copy and it deletes itself, I'm the only one who can make it" It was ideal but unfortunate Elijah thought, that the young kid was so eager to boast. He would have to kill him.
"Do we have a deal?"
"Yeah.... yeah I think we probably do..." Elijah shoots the kid in front of his drug lord father, creating a chaotic gun fight to break out... "get the drive!! The boss wants the drive!!" but it was too late.. his goonies were dragging him from the mansion and to safety. "shit."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"Come on.. again..." Mace short for Mason Browne, a true CIA legend who was currently barking at you like a sports coach as you fight, almost like a choreographed dance with Mace as you kick and punch, the two of you drenched in sweat as you attack her, taking her down on the matt... "nice" but she does't let you win for long, within a few moves it's you on the floor.
"No close contact huh?" Larry, the boss walks in with Nick... your heart instantly leaping out of its chest. You get out of Maces's grip and try to smarten yourself up as you shake her hand.
"They get close, they get hurt..." Mace says almost business like. That was always her tone, she had taught you the same. As her apprentice on the job, you were to follow her example like law. But you weren't really a field agent, not yet. With a background in profiling people and cyber crime, you had been useful on missions of late and the CIA wanted you in the field to be of more use rather than behind a desk.
"Well, you fight like you date..." Nick's voice sent icy shivers down your spine, his piercing blue eyes almost making you loose any sense of reality as you look at him banter with Mace, the two had been friends for years.
"Oh you wanna talk about your dating history, big guy.." she walks closer to her boss and her partner... his smile making your legs wobble. He spots you looking so you shift your eyes. You never ever let anyone take control of you, of your emotions. You were tough, stoic and happy to give as good as you got... but Nick Fowler was different... it felt like freedom... it felt almost like you loved him...almost.
"Told Y/N that too" Mace says clapping you on the back "will be even more important than ever to keep people at bay... especially Rick" she teases you. It wasn't a secret that Rick who worked with you in profiling was into you and couldn't understand why a hot single girl like yourself wouldn't want to go out with him.
"Whats that creeper want now..." Mace was a little intrigued by the slight edge to the comment Nick made but shrugged it off.
"Another time..." Larry steps in "You got a job..."
"Simple?"
"I should have thought so..." Larry said looking at Mace.
"Good, Y/N... get ready... we're taking you on a trial run."
