"Pack your bags Rose, you're going to live with Stereo Kicks!" Little did I know that them 11 words were going to change my life.
Hi! My name is Winter-Rose Grant, I am 16 years old, I will turn 17 on the 13th of August. I have Blonde hair and Green eyes, well as in Blonde, Its Brown but has bright Blonde bits in it like dirty Blonde. My favourite things to do are: sing, listen to music, dance and play football. Unlike most girls, I love football, skateboarding, basketball and the gym.
My dad is James Grant, the manager of Andrea Faustini, Ben Haenow, Fleur East, Lauren Platt, Stevi Ritchie and Stereo Kicks. The problem about having a dad who is in charge of bands means he is never there for you when you need him most, always travelling the world. So, one day, he decided to leave me in the hands of Stereo Kicks. A Boy Band, which means no girls. I guess I should be fine with this as I've grew up with a dad and no mum. Apparently mum died when I was born, leaving me in the capable hands of my father.
Walking into my room and into my bedroom, I figured my dad was doing this for my own safety and wanted what was best for me. I pulled out my biggest suitcase and managed to fit in half of my clothes. Pulling out another one, I managed to fit my other half of my clothes. On my bed, there was my clothes for today, which were Black leggings, a Red plaid shirt which wraps around my waist, a baggy top that has a White cross on and Black converse. I also lay out a Black Herschel backpack and Black snap back to wear on the way there.
Once I was changed, I jogged down the stairs and towards the kitchen, to where my father was.
"Dad, I was wondering if you could let me skateboard to their place?" I asked, as sweet as I could. My dad thought for a bit, before saying
"As long as you know where their place is, then I guess yeah!" He replied. After thanking him, I ran to the garage to find my pastel blue penny board. When my dad was in America for some manager meeting, he brought me along and got me penny board since I had to find my entertainment in some shape or form. Picking it up, I made my way back to the kitchen to see my dad writing down an address on a small piece of paper.
"What's that dad?" I asked, pointing at the piece of paper in his hand.
"This is the address, I am assuming your suitcases are upstairs in your room?" He asked, I nodded, telling him to carry on. "You might as well start skating there as its a 15 minute drive by car." He suggested.
"Sure, I guess if I arrive there first, I can get to meet them, and if you get there first, you can put my bags in my room?" I asked, he just nodded and passed me the paper. I took it out of his hands and picked up my bag, swinging it over my shoulders. I grabbed my penny board off the floor and hugged my dad.
Inside my bag, there was my deodorant, phone, a book and a pen for writing songs, my IPod, a book, headphones and my medication. I don't know if I mentioned this, but every night I have to take 2 of these tablets because if not, I come up in a rash. I also have reactions to some food but yet again it is the rash.
Saying goodbye to my dad, I grabbed my board and walked to the front door. I placed it down on the floor, getting ready to go.
"Remember, the address is on the sheet, go straight there and don't stop. I'll leave in 15 minutes, around the time you should be halfway. Bye!" He told me as I skated away. I grabbed my headphones out of my bag, after taking it off my shoulder, and took out my IPod. I plugged in my headphones, placed them on my head and clicked shuffle. I swung my bag back on my back after zipping it up.
I shoved my IPod in my pocket and took out the piece of paper. After reading, I figured out the way. Unlike what my dad had said, it would only take me 15 minutes to get there, don't know what route my father thought of.
