Haley, a 17 year old girl with brown hair and blue eyes, was never happy with who she was. She never would fit in at school, plainly because she didn't know what she was herself.

Other people tried to tell her who she was. Sometimes she would believe them no matter how hurtful they described her. Some would say things as bad as she's a worthless nobody, or as good as you're so smart and pretty; you could be a model.

Haley thought to herself all the time "How can others see who I am when I cant even find out myself."

She was frustrated and went home that way. Her dad, Tim was sitting on the couch, she could tell he'd been drinking. "Why do you always run to your room," he yelled at her, "you never spend time with me anymore." "That's because your never sober ," she said as she rolled her eyes and ran upstairs.

*Six months ago Haley was at her friend Emily's house, and her dad, mom, and twins brothers were going out to eat while she was there. Her dad lost control of the vehicle and went over the line, and experienced a head on collision which made their car flip. The back half of the car was smushed down.

Her mom was in the back seat with both her 1 year old brothers, and the roof snapped her neck as it came down and on her. Her brothers were stunned by the wreck and were unconscious. Her dad was completely fine other than road rash on his left arm. Her brothers were put into the ICU.

As her friend drove her to the hospital she cried and didnt think she was going to stop. When they arrived, she looked through the glass and saw her brothers, they were barely breathing and turning blue. Her dad was getting checked over to make sure there wasn't any thing else wrong with him.

The doctor asked, "Are you Haley?" Haley looked up whipping the tears away and slowly shook her head. "Im sorry to tell you that your brothers will not make it, we've done every thing we can, but with them being so young we can not do anything else for them." Haley couldn't believe what she just heard, she collapsed with shock.

The doctor got Haley a bed and they took her vitals, and made sure she was okay other than her losses. After a couple of hours they discharged her dad and her.

Ever since the day of the crash Tim blamed himself because he was driving. He would also blame Haley saying she shouldn't have been at a friends house, but h instead with them in the back seat. This always upset her.*

When Haley got to her room she locked the door and looked around. "He came in here again," she said to herself. Her room was a mess, everything was out of place and out of order. She started to clean up her room, when her dad banged on the door. "Haley you better let me in," he yelled, "I'll come through this door."

She grabbed her backpack and headed for the window, as she lifted it her dad busted in.  "Where do you think your going"  he started running towards her as she jumped out of her 2 story window to the tree just outside. She threw her bag down and climbed down knowing he dad would be coming down any minute.

She took the alley beside her house to the next street over and ran a couple blocks down. There was her friend's house Wes. Wes was a tall, skinny, buff guess he had brown hair like Haley, but green eyes. She went to the back door and got the spare key and opened the door. She locked it back and said "Wes, he's at it again," Wes rounded the corner and said "When is he not?" He tried to make her laugh and failed. "Come on to my room, I was just playing Call Of Duty and could use some help."

Haley spent the night at Wes' house a lot, since her dad always ran her out. So they played COD. That night she slept on his bed, because he would never let her sleep on the couch, he always did.  To Haley it was as Wes and her lived together she was at his house six out of seven days a week and sometimes that's because the seventh day she's at Emily's.

Haley usually kept clothes at Emily's and Wes' house, because this has been happening the last 5 months. The first month her dad was depressed but now he's in denial and drinks all the time,  even at work.

So they went to sleep, so they could wake up on time for school the next morning. It was 1:00 a.m. by the time Haley fell asleep,  four hours was better then nothing she thought.
