A Day Like Any Other (Kaminari X Reader)

It was just a day like any other, the sun rose upon the horizon, shining as bright as always.

L/N Y/N, or more known as H/N was just patrolling around Mustafu, nothing was seemingly out of place.

Well, that was until she heard distant screams. Y/N immediately sprinted towards the sound. Once arrived, seeing people frantically running and yelling.

So much for a peaceful day.

Y/N now found herself battling a strong villain who'd robbed a nearby bank, injured around 30 people, and killed 1 of them. The villain went by the name Shiro.

25 minutes into the battle, Shiro just wouldn't back down. Y/N was getting fairly annoyed.

Thankfully, Kaminari Denki, or more known as the Stun Gun Hero : Chargebolt came to assist.

Y/N released a breath she didn't know she was holding once she knew that someone was able to back her up.

"Hey, dollface, long time no see." Kaminari greeted with his usual coy smirk, winking. Y/N just rolled her eyes, "We saw each other this morning, you idiot."

"Ouch." He mumbled, his smirk not faltering as he directed a lightning bolt towards Shiro.

Things were looking up, Shiro was reaching his limit. That was, until his little goons came to help.

Little goons weren't exactly the right words to describe them. They were mostly on the taller and lean side, all of them also had powerful quirks.

Due to the sudden ambush, Y/N and Kaminari were both overwhelmed. Even so, they just kept on throwing punches as well as taking hit after hit.

Soon enough rescue heroes came to the scene and evacuated the remaining civilians, but they didn't have a useful enough quirk to combat the villains.

A villain discreetly snuck up behind Y/N and was about to hit her with their energy blast.

Luckily, at the time, Kaminari was also sneaking glances towards Y/N, so he could see what was to happen if he just stood idly by.

Unfortunately, Kaminari didn't have the time to process what was happening to create a formidable plan, or to even warn Y/N, it was like his voice was stuck in his throat. So, he pushed her out of the way on instinct and took the hit.

Kaminari got thrown across the street right into a building. Usually, he would get up as fast as he could, even if he was struggling, Y/N knew this.

Y/N ran towards him, partially forgetting about the villains for a split second.

As fate would have it, two hero friends of hers arrived on the scene ready for combat, Todoroki Shoto and Sero Hanta.

Y/N nodded at them in acknowledgement and bolted towards Kaminari.
He still wasn't getting up. Y/N scanned his body for any severe injuries.

Crimson liquid splotched all over his hair and skin, he had scrapes and bruises decorating his skin. Kaminari was fading in and out of consciousness.

Y/N saw Kaminari twitch his eyes open as he hissed in pain. "Denki? Are you okay? Can you get up? Are you hurt anywhere?" She started to bombard him with questions. He just smiled and said, "I'm okay." as he squeezed her hand, before passing out.
