Chapter 16

Back at the ranch**

It is now 10:30 a.m. and Amy is still asleep. Lou and Jack are in the kitchen.

" So Lou, was Amy drunk last night?" -Jack

" Yeah, she was really drunk. I don't think I have ever seen her drunk before, have you?" -Lou

" Yeah, a long time ago. It was about a year after Ty and her got engaged." -Jack

Tim then came through the front door.

" Where's Amy? I'm surprised I didn't see her outside with any of the horses." -Tim

"She's still asleep." -Lou

" No, that's ridiculous. She can't just pout about her marriage." -Tim

Tim walks off to Lou's bedroom where she is asleep.

" Grandpa go stop him before he wakes Amy up." -Lou

Jack gets up and goes to get Tim before he wakes up Amy.

" Tim what the hell are you doing?" -Jack

" I'm making sure my daughter doesn't screw her marriage up like I did." -Tim

" You going in there and waking her up is not going to do anything but make her mad at you. So leave her alone for a little while." -Jack

Tim just looked at Jack

" Ok, fine. Let's go round up the cattle or something then." -Tim said walking out of the house.

Jack walks back into the kitchen.

" So I guess I am going to go with your dad to do something before he drives everyone crazy." -Jack

" Grandpa you can't. I have to go get groceries. We can't just leave Amy here by herself." -Lou

" Lou, she is a big girl. She can stay home alone for a little while. Just leave her note. Who knows she could still be asleep by the time you get back. I gotta go though." -Jack

Lou decided to leave a note for Amy and head off to the store.

It has been about 30 minutes and Amy finally gets up and goes into the kitchen to get some water.
She sits down at the table an finds the note Lou left.
Amy just sits at the table with her hands over her face.

25 minutes later**

Someone comes through the door.

" Hello?" -Amy

Ty and Lyndy are standing in the front entrance.

" Ty" -Amy said

Amy stood up but immediately ran to the bathroom.

" Lyndy color this picture and I will be right back." -Ty

Ty went to the bathroom where Amy is throwing up.

" Amy are you ok? I have never seen you this sick before." -Ty

Amy just stands up and flushes the toilet.
Amy walks past Ty but he stops her before she completely walks by him.

" Amy are you drunk?" -Ty

" Last night I may have had some whiskey." -Amy said still a little drunk

" Alright then I will comeback later and we can talk. I wish you would acted more grown up Amy." -Ty said and started to walk away

Amy grabbed Ty's arm

" Please don't go." -Amy

Ty stood there and looked at Amy.

" Lyndy!? " -Ty called out

Lyndy came running to Ty

" Yes Daddy?" -Lyndy

" Go grab your tablet off of the table we are going to go into my and mommy's bedroom. " -Ty

" That's my mommy right?" -Lyndy said and pointed to Amy

" Yes that's your mommy." -Ty

Lyndy ran off and grabbed her tablet and followed Ty and Amy into the bedroom.

Amy gets on her bed and immediately fell asleep.
Ty sat next to Amy on her bed and Lyndy layed at the end of the bed on her tablet.
