"I finally made it." I huffed catching my breath. Finally, the Final Section was over as I had just reached the Wisteria blossoms.
Out of probably over thirty people that we started with, only five of us survived.
Thankfully, Kanao was also there! So she survived, thank goodness. Zenitsu, the boy that asked me to protect him ended up surviving aswell.
On the sixth day there was another demon encounter and Zenitsu ran away from me screaming. it's his fault though!
The other two, a boy with a massive scar across his cheek and a boy with hanafuda earrings.
Everyone including myself was covered in scratches and dirt, well everyone except for Kanao.
She had not a single scratch on her! Not even her clothes had dirt on them.
Meanwhile I on the other hand, had a lot of bruises and dirt all over me. I tripped over a lot of rocks and I had barely gotten any sleep since I was so paranoid about a demon showing up. Even if it was daytime.
I smiled and quickly ran up to Kanao forgetting about how sore my legs were and jumped onto her back wrapping my legs around her waist.
Kanao looked startled, "Y-Y/n?" She exclaimed, "You survived!" She managed to say.
We caught the attention of the boy with hanafuda earrings as he looked around at the other survivors. His eyes looked so gentle, he seemed like a nice person.
A butterfly then came and landed on Kanaos finger as she smiled warmly at the insect getting distracted.
I noticed that Zenitsu looked scared and kept on mumbling, but I couldn't hear him.
"Welcome back, everyone." The two same girls from earlier spoke.
"Congratulations," said the white haired one.
"We are pleased to see that you are safe." The back haired one smiled softly matching the other girls smile.
"So, what am I supposed to do now?" The scar faced once groaned with an annoyed tone, "Where's my sword?"
"First, we shall issue you all uniforms."
"We will take your measurements, after which your rank will be engraved." The two girls then went onto explain,
"There are ten ranks.."
"Kinoe,"
"Kinoto,"
"Hinoe,"
"Hinoto,"
"Tsuchinoe,"
"Tsuchinoto,"
"Kanoe,"
"Kanoto,"
"Mizunoe,"
"Mizunoto,"
"Currently, you all are at the lowest rank, Mizunoto,"
