A Not-So Wonderful Wonderland

Chapter 6

Rhea's POV

     I stare at the new guest in awe.

     So this is the king they were all talking about— The king  of Wonderland? Well, he does hold some type of power in his aura. He's... Befitting for his role.

     I hear Drake let out an audible snicker, "Wow, would you look at that..." he takes a short glance at Rafu then at the newcomer, "Quite a coincidence."

     Fay hovers above me, waving her hand in full enthusiasm, "Shadow, your here! We were just talking about you!"

      Ronica starts nudging Rafu's shoulder with her tail, with a huge grin on her face. It's odd to see that look on an animal, Wonderland really is full of surprises, "RAFU LOOK IT'S YOUR LOVE-DOVE!"
     I could see the tinge of pink blossoming on the male's cheeks, growing more flustered at the puma's teasing remark. I notice the twins— Isaac and Jack— leaving the area, seemingly because they weren't needed anymore.

      Ah, that's too bad... I was hoping to get to know them like the others.

     Shadow steps into the sunlight, his gaze fixated on the whitenette standing beside me. His lips curve into an amused smile, "I didn't expect to run into you at this hour, my luck really is getting better."

     What was that supposed to mean?

     I peek at Rafu curiously to see his reaction, finding his face redder than before.

     Ah.

     Drake squints his eyes, though it wasn't out of hostility, "How much did you hear?"

     "About enough." Shadow's gaze then lands on my, shrunken figure— His eyes are really red. It's almost like staring into a pool of blood. "That's quite a predicament you're in. Luckily, it's only a simple problem and I am willing to assist you in getting your solution."

     "You have a way to turn me back?" I mumble.

     He nods, "I'll ask one of the palace mages to brew up a potion, it might take a while but I can assure you that it's effective."

      I let out a sigh of relief, Finally, I won't stay as mini-me for any longer. "I don't mind waiting, I just want to go back to my original size."

     "Very well." he gestures to everyone in the group, "It'd be preferable if you would all wait in the palace. That way, it'd be easier to give your new friend the potion."

     Everyone seems to agree with his suggestion, so we all set off, following the path that leads us to our destination— The Red Palace.
