Rhea's POV
It felt like ages until I finally felt myself land on something, it felt pretty prickly, hopefully it's just a bush. I opened my eyes to find myself in a forest, but it wasn't the same as the one from last time.
Everything is weird.
The trees are either in loops or have lines in them.
The flowers have mouths.
Everything is multicolored!
And... Is that a butterfly with two heads??
I jump off from the purple bush where I had landed and dust off some leaves and debris that got stuck on my clothes.
"Ohohoho~"
I pause my movements and scan the weirdly constructed forest to find noone.
'What was that...?'
I shake my head, thinking it was just the wind. Until...
"Well this is new~"
Immediately pulling my gaze up, I spot two pairs of mismatched eyes staring straight at me, accompanied by an extremely large grin plastered on the face of a particularly disfigured feline.
My breath hitches, and I almost stumble back in my steps. My eyes widen as I stare back at.... Whatever that thing was!
"Oh, are you scared of me? My bad..." It laughs and reassembles its body.
"W-what are you?! W-who are you?!" I managed to say. Every inch of my body was on edge as the creature continued to watch me with its baring grin.
"I'm Fay!" It exclaimed, "I'm a Cheshire Cat, and don't worry... I won't hurt you!" Its smile grows even wider.
I let out a sigh of relief at the last sentence.
"I told you my name, now, shall I have yours?"
"A-ah... Right... Well," I pause for a few seconds to take a breath, "I'm Rhea."
"Lovely~!" She snorts, rolling around on the tree, "I've never seen you around before, and that's weird because I know everyone in Wonderland!"
"W-wonderland..?" I mutter and look up at her, "Is this what this place is called?"
Fay nods her head while frantically clapping her paws. She then disappears from where she was and emerges right infront of me which almost gave me a heart attack.
"So...." The cat utters, "What brings you to Wonderland?"
"To be honest, I just fell in a hole..."
"Oh...." She places a paw on her chin, seemingly in thought before brightening up again, "Ah! You must've fallen into one of Rafu's work!"
"Rafu?" I ask slightly confused.
Fay hums, "He's the fox that came in just before you!"
"It's alright...." I turn my attention to the abnormal scenery, then back to the cat. "Miss Cheshire."
She eyes at me.
"What's up with this place?"
"What do you mean?"
"I'm asking if Wonderland's always.... well..."
Her face changes into that of an understanding look- which I don't know what to feel considering she's a cat- and nods at me.
"..."
'This place isn't normal at all.'
"We're all mad here~"
I fell silent as she starts laughing again.
"What do you mean by 'we'?"
She pauses and glances at me, the ends of her smile almost reaching now.
Her feline figure starts inching closer, "You want me to show you?"
"Uh... Sure..." I answer slightly hesitant.
"Great!"
The cat's figure starts to get swallowed by pink smoke, I take a step back, trying to avoid it from entering my lungs. The thick veil of fumes began to dissipate and reveals a tall woman with ochre hair, wearing a multi-colored sweater, a red bow tied to her neck, thigh-reaching boots and a large pink tail.
She swerves right behind me and grabs on to my shoulders, lightly pushing me to move forward. "Let's go!"
'I guess being kidnapped by a crazy cat-lady is more preferable than getting an arranged marriage.'
Fay then takes me into the deep forests of Wonderland. To where exactly?
I'm here to find out myself.
