Lui POV

I stood there, head slightly titled down. From the corner of my eye, I could see Free packing his stuff. He shrugged against my arm, I shivered at the sudden contact.

And just like that,

He was gone.

All because of me.

And I finally understand why it's so hard to love me. I had to mess up. I had to mess up the relationship I had with the one person who truly loved me.

Why...

The next day

I woke up, my cheeks feeling dry from the tears I shed last night.

It felt so bad.

Like something, or rather, someone was missing.

Later that day...

Kurenai and Aoi started questioning why Free was missing. I just lied and told them that he left early. Of course they fell for it, they're both stupid.

Third PER

After what happened the other day, Lui returned and went back to blading, trying to forget about it. Of course, he saw Free from time-to-time whenever there were tournaments and matches. But aside from that, they had no connection.

Time Skip: 4 months

Lui POV

I feel better already. Like nothing ever happened. Yet...everyday I have this sadness deep inside me. Why? I don't even know. But I am not going to let 4 months go in vain, not yet, not now, not never.

Not after what I had to go through.

But it still hurts.

Time skip (again sorry TwT): 1 year

Third PER

On one side of the landscape, there was a blonde, standing hazily by the tree.

On the other, a boy with flaming baby blue hair and royal purple eyes stood.

Lui turned round to head to his training campus. As he was walking, he bumped into Free.

A sudden grab was felt by Lui.

'What do you want?' The bluenette said.

Free could see the look in his eyes. They were like before. No sadness whatsoever. Only coldness.

He let go, walking away right after.

'Weird.' Lui thought.

Some part of him, though, knew he wouldn't be able to keep this up. He knew he'd have to run back into Free's arms one day. He knew, that all his efforts would crumble...

..But perhaps...it would be different this time..?

Or not.

He decided to for it.

'De La Hoya! Stay right where you are-!'

The blonde turned back. No emotion showing.

'....I'm, I'm sorry,'

The two (or three idk) words that Free wasn't expecting at all.

I mean, Lui Shirosagi, apologize? Seems a bit too good to be true.

At one moment, they were stood far apart from each other.

But at the next, they were in each other's arms.

'Thank you, Free,'

!!!

'...Always.'
