"So what are we cooking tonight?"

I said as I laid on Greg on the couch. I kinda started to fall in love with him again he stuck with me at my lowest and I can't ask for more. The apartment is a little small but we make it work all 4 of my babies have gotten closer than they were jaylen Is still being the best helper in the world to all of his little brothers and sisters, Chloe Is gaining more attitude n character by the day. Kyle is becoming my lover boy he loves cuddling n watching movies he's under me more than Cameron and now Cameron is attached to Greg literally all I do is give him milk than he wants to go right back to Greg and Greg only. But life has been better after all of that shit I went through getting from under smokes thumb was the best decision.

G, I can make some steak for us and chicken tenders or something for the kids but you gotta go get the mash potatoes from the store we're out
H, okay I'll go by myself real quick
G, when you get back we need to talk
H, umm okay about what
G, we'll talk about it when you get back mamas

Greg started kissing on my neck Chloe rolled her eyes and walked away kyle started laughing

"Y'all are nastyyyyyy" Chloe screamed shutting the bathroom door

G,I want me a little girl
H, I want me a house we'll meet in the middle
G, that's not a problem

Jaylen was sitting on the couch with kyle watching movies with us as his phone went off he got up and rushed to his room which was weird cs jaylen only talks to his girlfriend diamond and another girl name Lexi and his two best friends Elijha and Jordan, but he never leaves the room to talk to them I looked at Greg n got up he pulled me back down

G, let him be
H, he's been acting weird lately
G, I know something happened
H, he's becoming more distant and I don't know why I mean we buy him everything he's not lacking for nothing i love him more than I love myself but I feel like I'm loosing him for some reason
G, he's becoming a man he has deal with things on his own first if he brings it to your attention listen if he doesn't he doesn't but if he does always be able to listen n not jump down his throat
H, ugh okay

I went and put on some pants and a coat after I got done I passed by jaylens room opening the door he instantly hung up the phone I went to his bed and sat beside him

H, is there something going on that I need to know about jaylen?
J, no ma
H,  yes it is there is something going on
J, no it's not ...... I'm just worried about the football game coming up it's my first one as a freshman n I don't know if I'm going to play so me and coach our going over some stuff ya know
H, what is there to be worried about your the best you don't have nothing to worry about I'll be there and Greg will be there to cheer you on I have to call your grandma and papa n tell them
J, I already have ......
H, okay good well yea we'll be there supporting you all the way baby

I gave him a hug and got up leaving he stopped me ...

J, where you going ma?
H, to the store we need mash potatoes for dinner tonight
J, can you go pick up my shoe order at footlocker I ordered some stuff it just needs to be picked up
H, I thought you picked that up yesterday when you left ?
J, umm I got caught up n ended up going over Jordan's house to play ball
H, mhmm okay well yea I'll pick them up.

I shut the door running my hands down my face Greg came up behind me guiding us into our room and closing the door I looked at him n started to cry.

H, he's starting to lie just like smoke he lied n said he was on the phone with his coach n said he's worried about his first game when he's one of the best players on the team n then you know when he was gon all day yesterday he never picked up the shoes he asked me to get them while I was out like wtf is going on
G, calm down first. I know he's been lien cs I talk to him about the weird shit he's been doing all the time but don't put no pressure on him too much or he'll start to hate you he'll tell us when he's ready
H, I'm not waiting for that I'm taking his phone
G, no don't that's nun of your business hylian let him have some freedom
H, this shit is stressing me out Greg I promise
G, it's okay he'll tell us eventually or it'll come out on his own. Now go get a little break then come back home I'll be waiting for ya

He kissed me and I left I went to the store and got some potatoes n other stuff I needed then swung by footlocker n picked up jaylens order I also went to dicks to get him some football gloves I ordered for him with his initials on them my baby his more than prepared for his game. I ended up parking in the parking garage and getting out to get the groceries somebody came up behind me and said my name I knew exactly who it was....... Smoke. I rolled my eyes turning around

H, you found me
S, your never far this is my city don't forget
H, wtf do you want
S, I wanna see my kids but I need to see jaylen
H, for what
S, ...........
H, for what ?!
S, ye is here and she wants to see him

I instantly got upset everything started adding up. Jaylen was acting different because he was secretly talking to ye but why didn't he just come tell me first.

H, she was here he's been acting weird n distant n having secret phone calls I asked him about today he said it was his coach n they were talking about his upcoming freshman game but I knew that was a lie
S, he has his first freshman game coming up n didn't tell me ?
H, I don't think he wants you there
S, that's bullshit I need to see him
H, I'm not doing that until he's comfortable with doing that
