I wanted to be like him
I resented anyone and everyone
I deemed less than me
For I was to become something great
Something grand
Just like him
But no
Life can't be that simple
Because now I'm Unwanted
Cast away from the only home I've ever known
Destined to die a bubbly hot oily death
Or at least that's what we all thought
Life really hates being simple
I don't want to be here
In this colorful land
Plush with grass
A grand mansion
I don't want to be here
I want to be home
In quill
Training to become the governors officer
Not here
Not living with all of these strangers
Who were deemed Unwanted in the past years
With this old man
His smile unwavering
Never without a colorful robe
I don't want to be here
Or maybe I do
Maybe I like it
Up on this stage
Playing a part
Saying my lines
Maybe
Just maybe
And only maybe
I might like it here
I might like the the cheers from an audience
The comfort from my friends
Maybe I could get used to this
