The eternals all stood uncomfortably and perhaps a little lost in a secluded village in the Amazon. None of them were happy to be there, but they needed Druig if they wanted to stop the emergence. However, they didn't know what to expect. They hadn't spoken to him in centuries and the terms he left on weren't exactly friendly. Not to mention the fact that Druig had always been a....difficult to get along with person. They had missed him, in their own ways even if they wouldn't admit it. Whether it was the silence that should've been filled with a witty remark or the absence of snacks hidden around their homes. He was one of them, despite how many difference they may have. He was their brother.

They all looked around cluelessly, unable to spot Druig amongst the villagers. All of the mortals were too focused on their work to give more than a nod in a direction, eventually they realized they had no choice but to suck it up and wander that way until they found him. Though, nothing could have prepared them for when they actually stumbled upon him.

Druig had his arms wrapped around a woman as they danced to her light humming. Well, as close to dancing as Druig gets anyway.

"You know, my dearest Persephone, I believe we're supposed to be doing this while music plays at a party." there was a light chuckle in his voice as he spoke, but his eyes never strayed from her face.

"Oh? Are we?" She hummed with her eyes closed as she relaxed in her lovers arms and ignored anything else.

"You look like you're about to fall asleep standing up love, why don't we head back." The woman scrunched her nose up at the suggestion, wanting to stay here longer.

"Must we? As much as I love it there, being alone with you will always be better." Druig smiled softly as she whined, it was an odd sight to his family. Druig was not soft in any way, or caring or anything similar in their eyes. It felt as though they were looking at a different person. He did not get the chance to speak again before Kingo could no longer hold his tongue.

"I don't know what this is, but I hate it. Like seriously. What the hell is wrong with him." This caused everyone to snap their heads to him, Sersi giving him a look for interrupting so rudely and Sprite with a twitch in her lips as she nodded in agreement.

Druig didn't look the slightest bit bothered while the woman blinked several times in surprise, before they turned to look at each other in sync before he nodded.

"I missed all of you. Please. Make yourselves at home." Druig smirked but it lacked the warmth it held with the mysterious woman.

"You've given me a lot of bad news in one go milady" To most, Druig appeared simply taunting and unbothered. However, after years of being in his head and loving him I could tell that was not the case. He was angry. Angry with Arishem, with Ajak. Seven thousand years, he had thought he was protecting humans. When he was actually only prolonging their death, preparing them for genocide. In some ways, he understood why it was necessary. But it was so...brutal. So horrific in order to be done, was it truly right to let so many people die for the possibility of what may come?

I also knew exactly what was going to happen because he was angry. When druig is mad, it is not usually explosive until he is truly pushed to the brink. Instead, it is cold. Callous. I'm not sure which is worse. He does not get violent with anything but his words, but sometimes that hurts more than any punches that he could throw.

I didn't interfere as Druig and the other eternals talked. Eventually, after taking the time to mock Kingo and Ikarus, Druig stormed out of the chapel we all ended up in. Truthfully, I think they had forgotten my presence there.
