Candy bars

August sat at the table with Sam and Dean, eating her dinner. It was one of those nights where Dean actually made dinner instead of going out to some diner, or fast food place.

August had eaten half of her food, but she was done with that, she wanted something else. Something sweet.

She made a noise to Dean, making him look up at her. Sam watched the little girl sign something to him, in which Dean responded with a look.

"August, you already know you have to eat all your food first." Dean stated.

August huffed, sliding down in her chair.

"Hey, don't pout. Sit up right." Dean scolded her.

August crossed her arms over her chest, looking away from Dean. Sam chuckled as Dean raised his brows at her.

"August Jude." Dean put his fork down, leaning towards the girl.

August looked up at Dean, her brows still furrowed at him.

"Finish your dinner." He told her.

August grabbed her fork and started shoving her food around. Sam had a slight smile on his face, taking a bite of his chicken.

Dean finished his food, and Sam soon finished his as well.

Dean went to the fridge and got out a candy bar, opening it and taking a bite. As he did, he felt eyes on him. He looked at August who made a face at him.

Dean made a face back, the candy in between his teeth and hanging out of his mouth.

"How come you get candy, I don't?" August signed to Dean.

"'Cause I ate all my food." Dean told her and signed.

August huffed and crossed her arms over her chest.

"Alright, I'll make you a deal." Dean said, coming over to the girl. "You take...three more bites, big bites, and I'll let you have one." He told her.

August thought about it for a moment before nodding.

"Alright." Dean chuckled, ruffling her hair.

After August had eaten her three big bites, as promised, Dean gave her a candy bar, and she was happy for the rest of the night.
