[ i know i said this was discontinued but the more i reread the chapters i wrote two years ago, the more i feel like i need to fulfill my old dream. so before i leave wattpad, maybe i'll finish this one. ]
five years later.
what matters is you, and not the state of you.
it was almost six in the evening, yet sounds of people playing football could still be heard. the two practiced almost all day- if possible. everyday, these two would hang out in the field, playing football, talking about random things, and just playing around.
students coming home would walk past them and think about how such a relationship between student and teacher came about. but not even the two knew
"so? what do you think? amazing right!" the twelve year old boasted, hands on her hips.
y/n scoffed, putting her hand on the girl's shoulder. aira looked at her and froze. "well, dear, i think that move.. sucked. do you know how much better i am? ha! you think you'd be able to beat the glamorous, y/n?" aira pouted, while y/n flashed her a competitive grin.
"but ane, no one knows your name. not even the guy you said whom you claimed to be close friends with."
the competitive grin melted into a blank expression. y/n stared at the sky, her memories from five years ago still replaying in her mind. a fond smile made it's way to her lips. "well, sometimes, things don't go the way you want them to. it's just the cycle of life."
oh, rin.
isagi.
chigiri.
nagi.
all of them. you missed them.
"if things don't go my way, then how could i possibly disguise myself as a boy in two years time and not get caught? you said you were a failed experiment. then what am i?" aira asked, though the question would sound desperate, the little girl actually had little to no expression on her face. unlike you, who showed too much emotions, aira was good at containing herself.
you smiled at her. "you, are the person i wish i was when i was in your place five years ago. now go home before it gets too dark, i'll see you tomorrow." aira looked at you and smiled softly, "thank you y/n- chan." then, she left.
you sat down and lay on the field, watching as the sky dimmed and pink and orange started to collide. how pretty. soon enough
you heard footsteps behind you, but you ignored them.
"dear. i think you're being too overly dramatic today. if you have the time to sulk about one loss, then you'd probably have the time to go on a date with me." you smiled, containing laughter as you heard your lover's deep voice.
"but you know how much i overexaggerate. you shouldn't have dated me if you knew i was like this." you pretended to frown and sulk.
"aira told me you were being dramatic about blue lock again. it ended years ago. you just happened to be away. i told you every single detail from my perspective. your old friends also told you about theirs." he kneeled down and pressed his forehead on yours. "also. they couldn't be here today because they're abroad for vacation. how many times do i have to tell you. i can't believe i have to keep up with those luke- i mean, stupid people just to calm you down."
