"I mean you can try but she really doesn't like talking to people like that, especially now.."I listened to Alyssa speak as she poured herself a glass of peach merlot.

So Alyssa has a roommate, her name is Diamond.

Now I'd think with the way Alyssa is Diamond would've been somewhat like her, but no.. she talks to Alyssa. Well barely even that but she communicates with her.

I just met Diamond when I moved back in town from Baltimore about a month ago.

Alyssa explained to me Diamond doesn't really like people so for that reason she doesn't talk to anybody besides her.

Now I've heard her talk, and it's something about her voice that's intriguing to me.

But that's not the point here,I like Diamond. I just don't know how ima get to know her if she doesn't even fuck with me like that.

"I've tried multiple times Lyssa.. she just doesn't fuck with me. I didn't even get a wave when I walked in the door today."I complained, taking a sip of my hard seltzer.

Alyssa nodded in response, sitting down at the island with me.

"It may not be that, she just might be nervous when you come around. Like seriously Sevyn look at you, you're hot!"Alyssa exclaimed, raising her hand in the air while also gesturing to me.

I was 6'3, dark skin, and I was skinny with an average build.

I didn't think I was all that, but don't get me wrong I'm one fine nigga.. seriously.

"I mean I guess I am, but what if I'm not hot to her."I inquired, Alyssa proceeded to shrug.. not knowing how to answer that.

"Well if you aren't then that's her opinion. She likes dark skins anyways, you might have a chance."

Alyssa was really starting to give me some hope.

"I might have a chance..well I'll give it a shot then. What's the worst that could happen."I was really hopeful by now, I just have to execute a plan here.

"Hey sleepy head, you slept okay?"I heard Alyssa ask a still half sleep Diamond as she walked into the kitchen.

"No, now I feel like crap."Diamond mumbled under her breath as she sat at the far end of the island.

Alyssa got up feeling her forehead and face as well.

"You are a little warm, go lay back down. I'll grab you some stuff to make you feel better."Alyssa instructed to her.

She nodded and got up from her seat, slowly heading back upstairs to her room.

This is my chance.

"I'll go grab some stuff for her Lyssa, you just stay here and make sure she's good."I got up from my seat and grabbed my keys.

I left out of their front door and headed to my car.

Now what's the first stop..

CVS.

I headed there to grab some medicine,pain killers and a little bit of candy. I also grabbed a heating pad and a bear.

After that I headed to grab her some sushi, since I know that's her favorite.

I then headed back to Alyssa's place, making my way inside and to Diamonds door.

I knocked a few times, waiting for her to respond.

"Come in."Diamond spoke quietly.

I slowly walked in, setting everything on her bed since she was sitting up watching tv.

"I got you a little something since you said you weren't feeling good."I smiled and sat on the end of her bed.

"That's sweet, thank you."She grabbed the bags and went through them.

I nodded and got up, about to walk out.

"Sevyn.. why'd you do this for me?"She questioned

I turned around, rubbing the back of my neck.

"Well I wanted to make you feel a little special, and I'm kind of feeling you. So I figured this could've proved it just a little."I explained.

Diamond motioned me towards her, I nodded and walked to her.

She smiled and pulled me closer to her, she looked me in my eyes before softly pressing her lips against mines.

I closed my eyes in satisfaction as I placed my hand on her thigh returning the kiss.

Man this felt so perfect right now, I didn't even know what to do..
