Y/n was having breakfast at the kitchen table. As usual, enjoying her bread and jam while listening to music on the speakers.

In just a few hours she needs to get ready as she needs to be in the office on time. But the way she is dressed and the way she is passing her time, no one could tell that soon she is going to run around like a madwoman.

She is still in her favourite maroon-coloured pyjamas, using the eyepatch as a headband. Her hair is messy as ever as though she hasn't brushed them in weeks.

Having no care for the world, that's how her days pass. Pretty much the same things happen. Nothing new or exciting.

Waking up early, enjoying her bread and jamming to the music. After her eating session that half of the time passes by her singing along, she starts to get ready in a rush. Leaving for the office and then coming back. Sometimes going out with friends but it's a bit rare for her.

When she was singing along and having her breakfast, she heard a knock on her door causing her to get alerted.

"Huh? Who could come at this hour? No one ever visits me during the daytime," she says scratching her already messy hair confusingly.

"Not like they visit me during the other times though," she said in a low tone, totally not making sense. "But still!"

When she was delaying by overthinking again another knock was heard on the door.

"I should just open the door. Why am I wasting time?"

Saying so she walks towards the door and opens it. After opening seeing the person on the other side of the door gets her a bit conflicted.

It was a delivery man in a red uniform. She could barely see his face since his hat is covering half of it. The only part of his face that was visible was his lips clasping a very odd smile.

"Uh, I don't think I've ordered anything." I don't order anything online. I'm broke.

Saying she was about to close the door but something was preventing the door from getting closed. Once she looks down she notices his toe blocking the door which causes her to look up at him feeling strange.

The man put his toe in between the door making sure she doesn't get to close it. Then without a word the man gets his leg inside and clenched the edges of the door, forcefully opening it. Once enough space to peak he looks at her through the gap.

"You're Kim Y/n right?" He asks still smiling.

"Y-Yes," she replies hesitantly as she felt something was very wrong.

Listening to her reply he doesn't respond but completely opened the door with full force causing Y/n to step back a little. She felt her heartbeat increasing since she was feeling a bit concerned for her safety.

Opening the door he takes a box from her porch that wasn't visible to her since the man was blocking her view. He hands her the box that contains her parcel which she took quite hesitantly. Then he takes a board out of his bag that had paper attached to it and showed it to Y/n.

"I've to sign?" She asks.

The man just nods as Y/n took the board in her hand. He takes out a black ballpoint pen and gave it to her.

"T-Thanks. Here?" She asks pointing at the little box at the bottom right corner.

"Yes," he said the unsettling smile never leaving his face.

She gulped before signing the paper since she was feeling uneasy. The moment she signed the man's smile got even wider causing her to get chills. He snatches the pen and board from her and bows to her before leaving.

Y/n was a bit confused and scared at the same time. That man was very intimidating and strange. But she shrugged it off since she was feeling better now that he is gone.

When the man left she quickly closes the door and put the parcel up on the kitchen table. She didn't know who send it or what was inside. She looked at the box for quite a while. Trying to investigate.

"Who could send this to me?" She asks herself, putting both of her hands over her hips. "Ugh, I can't think of anyone!" She said in frustration as she sat on her chair and took a bite from her bread. "Umm, this bread is so tasty!" She said while her mouth was still full of bread.

She didn't want to open the box since she wasn't sure who was the sender or what they even sent. But as curiosity got the best of her she gave up. Taking the box in her lap which felt very lightweight compared to its size she decides she'll open it.

It's general looking but a big square-shaped box. Taking a box cutter she cuts the sealed part and opens it. Looking inside she notices there's another box.

"Is this some kind of a prank?" She said opening the other box. "Yup, it's definitely a prank. Another box?!"

She kept opening box after box and every time she opens the box a new box appears inside waiting to get opened. But each time getting smaller in size. As she kept on opening she notices the boxes are getting small and the one she is holding right now is the last and the smallest box.

"Means there's nothing for me? It's the worst thing that could ever happen to someone. That is also so early in the morning. I got my hopes up for nothing," she said getting disappointed.

Getting discouraged she thought there was no point opening the last box since there was a chance that it was going to be empty. So she kept the last box on top of the kitchen table and continued having her breakfast. But all this time her gaze kept on landing on the small box in front of her eyes. She was curious to know if she could find anything in the last box at least.

"Maybe...if I...open this...last box?"

She said as she slowly started opening the box hoping to not get disappointed yet another time. As she opened that box another appeared causing her to get frustrated.

"What? Another box?! Wait- it's a different one..."

She takes a closer look at it and takes out the box. It was different from the other boxes. It's a small black coloured box. The box looks simple but magnificent. It had a strangely satisfying textured surface. She closed her eyes and begin to open the box in hopes this time it won't disappoint her.

"Please don't be another box. Please don't be another box!" She chanted like a prayer as she opened her eyes after opening the box. Noticing what the box contained had her left confused.

"It's a ring?"
