Sweet potato pie: 1 (1 pound) sweet potato 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 cup white sugar 1/2 cup milk 2 eggs 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Seafoodgumbo: 1⁄4 cup oil
3 -4 tablespoons flour
2 onions, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 (1 lb) bagfrozen chopped okra
1 quart chicken broth
1 (16 ounce) can whole tomatoes, w/liquid
4 -5 cloves garlic, crushed
2 bay leaves
2 -3 tablespoons crab boil, tied in cheesecloth
salt & pepper
hot pepper sauce
2 lbs raw shrimp, peeled
1 lb crabmeat or 2 cans crabmeat
1 pint oyster (OPTIONAL)
1 lb firm white fish fillet (halibut, white fish, cod)
1 tablespoon

Oven BBQ wings : 3 lbs chicken wings
salt
fresh ground pepper
2 cups tangy barbecue sauce make sure that you Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Bend the wings and tuck the tips under the large joint to form a triangle.
Season the chicken wings on both sides with salt and pepper.
Set wings in a single layer in a large roasting or baking pan. Use two pans if you have to.
Bake the chicken wings, turning once, until browned, about 45 minutes.
Remove the wings from the oven.
Pour off all the fat from the pan. If necessary, blot the wings with paper towels.
Return the wings to the pan.
Pour the barbecue sauce over the chicken wings and return to the oven.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Turn the wings over and bake 10 minutes longer.
