A group of college sophomores sit together the digital application room.

The computer dude snaps his fingers as he gets a notification. "Good looks, a customer wants to buy a design set."

"How much are we planning to sell?

"The original price is $2,000, but since this is our first buyer of the week, I'm gonna lower it to $1,500."

"Doesn't sound bad. Any input, boss?" They look at the Vinnie, the head of the organization.

Vinnie leaned on the table estimating the price before giving approval. "I'll take it. Split the money and each will get the same amount."

"Will do," the others agreed.

Although this sounds like a normal hustle, these jocks are known to be delinquents with intentions of scamming people for money outside of campus.

"He caught his email information, but it's gonna be hard tracking that IP address with that firewall..."

Vinnie turns to the other guy who was part of the group. "Alright, it's game time. Do your thing, Leo."

"My name is Baylee," he corrected with a slight bit of irritation.

Vinnie tilted his head to mock him. "You gonna sit there and be pretty or get on with it?"

Baylee gives him the glare, then finally takes the order and steps out of his chair.

The computer guy hands him the laptop.

Baylee plops himself in the other chair, analyzing the software.

"Their antivirus software is weak. If I can mimic their passwords, I can get access to their bank account."

Immediately, he goes into hack mode, finding shortcuts through access restricted. "I copied their IP address."

Vinnie nods while focusing on the screen. "Got some good troubleshooting, Leo."

There's no time to slow down. He tries to access to the bank account before it's frozen.

"Linking to password settings and..." He taps the key.

The hacking was successfully completed and all the money was cleared out the customers savings, falling into the groups bank. "It's done."

"Fûck, yes." Vinnie takes the laptop to see his account. "12 grand, fellas."

The rest clapped in victory. Baylee felt a bit of praise, since this was a part of his doing.

"Definitely gettin some bītches with this money." Everyone's pay is $2,000. I put it in your banks"

Baylee happily opened his phone to checked his pay, but paused as it was still at the same amount.

Vinnie closed the laptop. "We're done for the day, but don't slack tomorrow. Go to class like nothing happened, you got that shīt?"

"Got it, chief." As they all get ready to head out the room, Baylee was unsatisfied with an empty portion. "Hey!"

They turned back around. "Where's my split? I was part of this job too."

"Oho, Leo..." Vinnie chuckled and slapped his hand on Balyee's shoulder. "You already know most of the portion comes to me first."

"That's not even fair. You lend everyone else their portion and I'm always the one who has to wait."

He rolls his eyes. "C'mon, bro. You trust me, right? I swear I got you before the end of this week."

"Vinnie, you've done this numerous times and I'm sick of the bułłshit now. I'm treated like I'm below everyone else."

"And the reason why I do that is because...well...you're not fully committed to this organization like the rest." He shrugged.

Baylee scoffs in disbelief of what he's saying. "In my defense, I'm literally the main reason why we get the money. I hack for you."

"Good, keep doing that job and soon I'll take you seriously." Vinnie walks away, but Baylee had the full courage to pull him back.

He looks him in the eye. "I want my money, Vincent."

Vinnie gets in his face. "Oh, you askin for it like that?"

"Yes I fúcking am." He taunts him to his limit. "And what're you gonna do if I don't give it to you?"

Baylee gets cornered by the rest of the group. "Give me my—" He gets cut off by impact of Vinnie's punch.

He hits the floor with a bit of blood coming out of his mouth. It took a minute for him to process the pain.

"Since you 'know your worth' so bad..."

As he struggles to stand back up, they join in to add more damage, from kicking his lower half to hitting his face.

"S-Stop..." he chokes. At this point, Baylee was in too much pain to move.

"Alright, it's over with," Vinnie told the group. They all refrain from adding anymore injury.

Baylee was still guarding his face, coughing up blood.

Vinnie kneels down to his level. "I'll pay you when the time is right...with me. I run this shīt, all of it."

He gives no response, but it looks like he got the memo.

Vinnie nods and slowly stands back up. "One minute you're timid and suddenly you're righteous. Pick one."

Him and the rest head out, leaving Baylee in utter pain and shock. "Shīt..."
