Y'all this happened a while ago but its a hard subject for me but I'm here to tell y'all now! Ok so basically I struggle with my mental health a lot and at some point it got so bad I almost started to self harm. HSMTMTS has always been a safe place for me, along with the casts music, so when josh started opening up about his journey with his mental health it really helped me. About a month ago, I got a text from Josh's fan text, telling me to join his discord. About five minutes after downloading the app and figuring out what it was, I commented, "Josh you helped save my life, thank you." After ten minutes I was just having the time of talking to everyone but then he replied with, "That wants my heart, and just think about all the lives you're gonna improve being here !!! Sending you love !!" I remember reading it and then running downstairs screaming, "MOM! MOM! JOSHUA BASSETT NOTICED ME! HE WAS SO SWEET AND HE KNOWS I EXSIST AND IM SO HAPPY." And tears were streaming down my cheeks. Recently my mom has admitted that seeing me cry happy tears then was the first time she's seen me happy in a really long time, and I didn't even process that I've been acting sad until she said that. I went to school the next day and when my friend walked up to me she said, "Where have you been? It's Friday. Why weren't you here the rest of the week?" And I openly admitted, "I was having panic attacks because school scares me, but someone I truly love convinced me to come in today."
Yeah. You could say Joshua Basset is literally a life saver.
