The sound of hushed voices was what woke Forest the next morning, and she quickly sat up to listen.

She immediately recognized Legder's rough tone from outside the room.
"Those Piltover guards. We ran into them again this morning."

Forest stood, making her way to the door where the voices could be better heard.

"As long as they keep out of what's ours." The voice belonging to Ekko replied.

Ledger scoffed. "They're getting closer and closer everyday. I don't know how much longer we can hold them off."

"This is our turf. They should know better than to cross it." Ekko snapped. "They're outsiders here. They don't stand a chance."

"But they aren't the ordinary guards Ekko." Ledger explained, and Forest felt her heart skip a beat.
"They don't answer to Piltover leaders."

"Then who the hell are they?" Ekko asked.

"I'm not sure." Ledger huffed. "But from what I've heard, they're looking for something...or someone."

"We aren't getting mixed up in Piltie business Ledger." Forest could practically hear the eye roll.

"Even if there's a reward?"

Ekko paused. "We aren't getting mixed up with them. Got it? They stay out of our business, we stay out of theirs."

Forest could hear Ledger sigh in defeat.

"And don't go looking for information." Ekko added.

Forest peeked through the window in time to see Ledger nod and turn his back before walking away. Ekko's arms were crossed stiffly. The sun hadn't even risen yet. She couldn't understand how they weren't exhausted.

He reached for the door handle and Forest froze. It was far too late to jump back into bed and pretend to be asleep.

He opened the door and his eyebrows furrowed upon seeing her standing there wide-eyed and guilty.

"We're you eavesdropping?" He asked.

Forest gulped. "No."

He sighed heavily.

"Yes." She admitted finally.

Instead of becoming angry, Ekko smiled. "Come with me." He said.

"Where are we going?" Forest asked, following him out the door, but she bit her lip, seeing him pull the hoverboard from it's holder.

He placed it on the ground, which seemed to activate it. Green lights lit up around the boarder. Ekko's back was turned to her, yet he still seemed to sense her doubt.

"You won't fall."

Forest folded her arms over her chest, taking a deep breath in.

He hopped on the board with ease, then turned to her, holding out a hand.

Forest took it rather hesitantly, and slowly stepped onto the board. Ekko laughed, and lightly put an arm around her smaller figure.

After making sure that she wasn't about to have a heart attack, Ekko took off on the board, making sure to go slower than usual.

"Where are we going?" Forest asked finally, noticing that they seemed to be leaving the quiet sanctuary of the firelights.

"You'll see." He said. Forest didn't want to crane her neck up to see him, but she could feel the smile through his voice.

They exited through the tunnels on the North side of the little community. Forest was soon met with the dim lights of the Undercity. Despite all she'd heard about it growing up, Zaun was just as beautiful as Piltover.
