HARRY POTTER

When I stepped into the girls bathroom, I froze. I could hear her sobs and I stared at the room, destroyed into pieces. "What the fuck?" I said. She looked at me and her eyes widened and her face paled. I quickly rushed to her and she stood up, backing away from me. "Please, no!" she exclaimed. Her back hit the wall and she stared at me. "Meredith, I'm not going to hurt you," I said. I walked over to her and stood in front of her. I reached out, wiping her tears away. She was trembling. "I'm sorry," she said. "What are you sorry for? You don't need to be sorry," I said. "I- I ruined your life. People died because of what I did. It's all my fault- this is all my fault. I deserve it," she stammered. "What are you talking about? Deserve what?" I asked. She shook her head frantically. "I'm sorry, Harry. I never wanted to hurt you," she said. "Meredith, calm down. You need to breathe," I said. She exhaled a shaky breath and nodded. "I have to go," she said. "Wait- you can't just go-" I said. She drew her wand and repaired the room. Then she looked at me with sadness. "I'm sorry for the trouble, Harry," she said quietly. Then she left.

MEREDITH MALFOY

I couldn't go to lessons today. Not with my magic being so out of control. I went straight to my dorm and when I stepped inside I stared at my room. Every part of my room was tainted with memories of Ron. I couldn't lay on my bed or sit on my chair without having flashbacks of things Ron did to me. I simply sat on the floor in the corner and took deep breaths as silent tears fell  down my cheeks. I missed my mother. She was such a king and graceful woman. But in a way, I'm also glad she isn't with us anymore. I would never want her to know what's happened to me. I don't want her to know what Ron did. I want her to think I'm as kind and graceful as she is. Correction...was.

A few hours passed and I heard a knock on my door. I didn't answer and I prayed whoever it was would think I wasn't there. Then I heard the lock click. I braced myself for Ron but then Pansy walked in. "Where the hell have you been?" she exclaimed. "Pans?" I said. "You skipped lessons? Since when do you just skip lessons?" she asked. "I felt sick," I mumbled. "Bullshit," she snapped. "No-I- I just-" I stammered. "Did something happen with Harry? Did he hurt you?" she asked. My face dropped. "What?" I asked in shock. "Theo told me you needed the potion. The Meredith I know is far too responsible to forget the contraceptive spell. You've been acting cagey and secretive and none of us have seen you in weeks. You just disappear. And now you're skipping lessons. What's going on?" she asked. I shrugged. "Bullshit. Give me a real answer." she said. "I don't know, Pans. I'm just regretting coming back here. After the war- it's too different," I mumbled. She sighed. "Meredith, people died during the war. Lots of people. They died, their lives ended," she said. I looked at her as tears pricked at the corners of my eyes. "I know," I said quietly. "But you didn't. You survived. You survived and your life isn't over. I think you owe it to the ones who aren't here to do something with that chance. They died so we could live. Honor them, don't let their sacrifice go to waste," she said. I smiled. "You're right, Pans." I said. She smiled and nodded. "How's your leg?" I asked. "Fine. I have to get back before curfew but I just wanted to check on you. I'll see you tomorrow,' she said. I nodded and she left. I changed into pajamas and got into bed.

I don't know why I bother

I don't know why I bother. I lay in bed, thoughts racing through my head as I wait for Ron to come and break me down even more than he already has. He comes at a different time every night. I think he does it to make it worse for me. Because I don't know when he's coming so I just have to lay there, waiting. I looked at the clock and it was 9pm when I heard the knock. I sighed and walked to the door. I opened it and stood there silent as Ron walked in. Then I shut the door and locked it. I pulled off my tank top and my bra and shorts and he spoke. "Don't!" he said sharply. I paused and I looked at him. "Leave your knickers on, they're rather cute," he said with a cruel grin. I nodded and got on my knees. He stood in front of me and dragged his fingers over my lips. "You weren't in lessons today." he said calmly. I nodded. "Where were you?" he asked. "I felt sick," I said quietly. There was a sharp sting as he slapped me across the face. "Don't lie to me," he spat. "I'm not. I swear. I felt sick," I said. He nodded. He grabbed my throat and yanked me up. Then he slammed me against the wall so my front was pressed against the wall and his front was pressed into me. He held my wrists behind my back and pressed my head against the wall roughly. "I thought I gave you an order. That you do what I want whenever I want it!" he yelled. "I'm sorry!" I pleaded. Tears streamed against my cheeks as the pain in my ribs overwhelmed me. "You fucking cunt! You think you can hide! You think-" he started. Then the door opened and Harry walked in. Fuck.
