(I was proven guilty for the things I didn't do)

Everyone wants peace,
But not everyone deserves justice,
Like me who's proven guilty, do I deserve this?
"What I've done?", I asked-but the judge dismissed.

Everything they told was a false accusation,
They want me to learn my lesson,
I was there-I did those brutalities but still I'm innocent,
And here I am, crying a river 'cause of lifetime imprisonment.

I just once broke the rules, I was once against law because of them,
Close-minded people didn't decline me to condemn,
All I ever knew that I'm the one that should really be blame,
But if you're in my shoes, will you do the same?

For me, some instances proves that law is not always right,
I did what I had to do, I saved the lives of my kids that's why I fight,
If I just have a chance and rights to voice out what's real,
I just saved three lives over one devil, this one is really a big deal.

Evidence would be still useless,
Because I was also the one-who's witness,
But everyone won't believe me,
Because I was the suspect and I was proven guilty.

I just want my kids-our life has the freedom and escape in the devil's prison,
But no matter what I tell, they also found me guilty of treason,
But I committed all my sins, I admitted that I was once a killer because I have my reasons,
Won't you still forgive me? I was proven guilty but never judge me, who I am as a person.

(Ps: I also wrote/made this one in another contest last year. I didn't won the first place but I was the 4th winner yet I got a consolation prize. It was still unexpected for me haha.)
