~How You Fell In Love~
It was a cold winter day and you were heading over to your friend, Tino's house. You were really nervous because you had started to develop feelings for the adorably sweet young man, and you didn't want to ruin the relationship by saying something weird about how you felt. You shivered at the thought. No, it would be much better for you to just stay friends than get rejected. You were passing by a particularly snowy area of trees when you heard the honk of a truck behind you. You barely had any time to move out of the way before it came barreling past you and dumped snow all over your figure. You began to shiver. You were wearing a thick coat, but it seemed to do nothing to protect your body against the frigid element. To make matters worse, it started to snow. Hard.
You pushed against the snow, almost losing hope and thinking that you should turn back home so as to not get stuck in the snow. Just when you were about to turn around and save yourself a lot of trouble and possible danger or injury, you saw a building in the distance. Your eyes lit up in determination upon realizing that the building was your Finnish friend's house. You pushed your body harder against the forces of nature that seemed to be bent on keeping you away from your friend and crush. Little did you know that he was pacing back in front of his door, worried sick. 'What if she's caught in the snow? She did after all, say she was going to walk here... Maybe I should go look for her....' He thought. Suddenly there were a few pounds on his door. He wasted no time opening it up and he sighed in relief seeing you there safe and sound, though he was quite startled to see you covered in snow and shivering. He quickly pulled you in and shut the door so that he could make you more comfortable. He pulled you into a hug.
"(Y/n)! I was worried sick about you! Are you okay?" He asked, his chocolate brown eyes filled with genuine concern. You let out a tiny laugh.
"Well, I'm practically frozen, but other than that, I guess I'm okay, Tino..." You replied, pulling away from the blonde, though you honestly didn't want to. He was warm and you, well, weren't. His eyes widened.
"Well, I can fix that right away!" He said and ran off. You stood there, waiting for him to come back. You didn't want to dump snow all over the floor and you also didn't want to take your coat off, so you just stood by the front door. You watched him light his fireplace and run off into the kitchen for a little bit. You smiled. 'He's always so sweet and thoughtful~ How could anyone not love him?' You thought. He came back into the room and spotted you still standing there.
"(Y/n), what are you still doing over there?! And in that coat, no less!" He exclaimed in surprise, running over to you. He slipped the coat off of your shoulders and you blushed. He shook it off and hung it up on the coat rack. He grabbed your hand and led you into the living room, causing your blush to deepen.
"T-Thanks...." You stuttered out. His eyes widened.
"It's no problem!" He said enthusiastically and smiled. He made you sit in front of the fireplace. He wrapped a fuzzy blanket around your shoulders. His warm hands lingered on the skin of your shoulders, barely brushing it for a second too long and then pulled off. You looked up at Tino and saw a slight pink blush on his cheeks.
"I-I'll be r-right back, (y/n)!" He said and walked into the kitchen. You sighed. You felt warmer already, and Tino was making you feel unusually special. You blushed at the thought. 'Maybe... He might.... No! (Y/n), stop getting your hopes up! He's just helping you out...' You mentally scolded yourself. Tino returned with two mugs. He sat next to you and handed you one of the mugs and you peered down into it. Your expression lit up.
"Hot chocolate!!! Thank you!" You squealed, setting the warm beverage down and hugging him. He tensed at the sudden contact but relaxed a second later.
"Yeah, I know you love it, and it is pretty cold, so I figured we could have some~!" He said with a smile. You blushed. You loved seeing him smile. He, on the other hand, may have looked happy but was really nervous on the inside. 'Now, do it now, Tino, don't be so scared! Just ask her!' He mentally encouraged himself. He watched you sip the warm liquid and wrap your fingers around the mug, pulling your knees up to your torso. You looked beautiful. He blushed when you caught him staring.
"T-Tino?" You inquired, blushing a bit yourself. He swallowed thickly and tried to compose himself. He waited until you had put the drink down and then he seized his chance. He took your hand in his and you flinched, glancing over at him. You weren't expecting the bold movement and it caught you off-guard. You stared wide-eyed at a blushing Tino who was looking slightly away from you.
"(Y-Y/n).... I need to tell you... I have liked you for a while now, and I was wondering if maybe... You might.... Consider being my girlfriend?" He asked sweetly and rather politely. You were shocked and pleasantly surprised. A blush crept onto your cheeks and you finally acquired the strength to curl your fingers around his. You smiled shyly at him.
"I've liked you for a while now, too, Tino... I'd love to be your girlfriend~!" You replied happily and he smiled, a wave of relief washing over him. He slowly leaned over and lightly kissed your cheek, his soft lips brushing the skin softly. You blushed and smiled, happier than ever before. You both spent the rest of the day wrapped up in each other's warm embrace in front of the fire, sipping hot cocoa and warming not only yourselves, but your hearts.
