Hope's Pov

The area of lawn right in front of the castle has been transformed into a sort of grotto full of fairy lights, meaning hundreds of actual living fairies are sitting in the rosebushes that have been conjured there, fluttering over the statues of what seem to be Father Christmas and his reindeer.

The rest of the students are already inside the Great Hall. Only the four champions and their partners remain outside the corridor.

On the far right is Fleur Delacour with Roger Davies. She's dressed in a shimmering dress, and Davies is practically melting in her mere presence. Cedric and Cho Chang are beside them, happily making conversation with one another.

Krum is standing in front of his partner, shielding her from view. But then he moves to the side, and I nearly scream in surprise when I see who his partner is.

"Hermione?" I say in disbelief. Her hair has been curled to perfection, and she is wearing a periwinkle blue dress.

"Hope?" she says in the same incredulous tone, staring with amazement at my dress. "You look stunning!"

Our outburst causes the others to look our way, and they all stare with wide eyes at the both of us.

"Where's Harry? The opening dance is in two minutes!" I hiss at her.

"I'm not sure, I saw him with Ron earlier... Wait, there he is!" Hermione points over my shoulder.

I turn around, and feel the dress smoothly rotate with me. Standing at the doorway of the corridor is Harry, whose jaw has dropped to the floor at the sight of us.

Hermione laughs, and joins Krum, after shoving me towards Harry.

"You- You look-"

"I know," I grin, interrupting his stutters. "I assume you know how to dance?"

"Er," he says.

"Yeah, I've got no bloody clue, either," is all I have time to say, before the doors to the Great Hall magically burst open.

The music begins, and we each begin to enter the hall. Delacour and Davies go first, then Diggory and Chang. When Hermione and Krum waltz inside, a collective gasp is heard.

"Ready?" I ask Harry.

"Only if you promise not to kill me if I step on you a dozen times," he replies.

I place my hands on his shoulder and waist, and he does the same with me. Shockingly enough, we manage to gracefully step into the hall.

People gasp at my dress, which, under the crystal lights, has begun to glow. I try to copy Delacour's movements, since she alone seems to know how to dance properly amongst the eight of us. Unfortunately, Harry's eyes are on Cho, meaning we nearly stumble over one another halfway into the dance.

Finally, the song ends, and a new one follows. People pull their partners into dances, lifting some of the attention away from us.

"Where'd you get that dress?" Ginny and Ron approach me at the same time.

"None of your business," I tell them with a smirk.

They both begin to protest, so I pull Harry and myself out of the conversation, and force him to take part in a few more dances with me.

"You do look incredible, you know," Harry tells me.

"Don't make this weird, Harry," I say with a dramatic sigh.

He grins, we laugh, we have drinks- And then we hear a shouting match between Hermione and Ron. They're arguing about- Well, I'm not really sure, but I hear the word 'Krum' being thrown around a lot. Hermione is on the verge of tears, and I break away from Harry to rush over and comfort her.
