Chapter Two
I felt the ray of the sun hitting my face and it is my hatest thing in the morning, and I know only one person who knows that and wakes me up this way. Ofcourse, Mom.
"Wake up, sleepyhead. Maganda ang panahon ngayon, ayaw mo bang mamasyal?" she said and now she's on my door ready to leave already after waking me up.
"Ohh yess, maybe later in the afternoon mom..." I thought about my favorite place "I wanted to swim in the lake." I said and I got up from my bed.
"Okay, that's good. I'm going down already, faster, breakfast is almost ready." she added before leaving. I went immediately to the bathroom. I just had a quick shower and I did my routine. I'm just wearing a very girly floral dress right now and I'm in my strap sandals. Maybe later, I would change into my boots.
I went down and everyone was already settled at the grand table. We just had our breakfast peacefully and we were just talking about stuff. I really enjoy this kind of morning with my family. Having casual conversations at the table that we don't usually do in Seattle. My dad is a man of few words.
"Hija, mamaya mapaparito na si Dean." he said out of nowhere, I almost forgot about that! I don't know what to say. "Sasamahan kana niya mamamasyal mamaya.." he added.
"He's really your golden boy dad" my mom interrupted.
"Of course, I almost raised that kid, and he got talent. At napakabait na bata." Lolo enthusiastically said. He must be really nice huh for lolo to trust him and praise him like this. He's a renowned architect, praises coming from him is something. Just being recognized by him is absolutely a pride.
Our breakfast ended well and I rested for a while. I also browsed the net to look for some inspiration for my photos later. I like photography a lot, and my favorite subject is nature and myself. I love capturing moments, I like to restore memories. They say it is much better to live the moment, sometimes being engrossed with taking photos you'll be taken away. I refuse to believe it, everytime I take photos, I take time to appreciate it and my subject. It makes me happy. Maybe it depends on how we perceived things and what makes us happy.
After a while, I decided to get my polaroid and hat. I'm already in my boots and dress. Maybe I could visit the farm and I still remember the best spots here. After I took my things and went down, I saw the three of them at the porch..he's here already. Lolo seemed to notice my presence.
"Hija.. are you going already?" lolo asked, and everyone turned their way to me.
"Opo sana lolo.." oh God, how can I remove my slang, and who would even care? Why am I even conscious? "I could still remember the way to the hill and lake"
"Ohh hija, there are some improvements from this place, Dean could accompany you." lolo added
"Like what lolo?" I asked. I could feel the heavy stare of Dean to me, and as I looked my way to him..I'm not wrong.
"We built some barn houses and even an indoor ring for riding horses," he said. I got excited by the thought that there is a ring where I can safely ride a horse. It was scary back then because of the hills.
"Really??" I got excited about that thought.
"Yes,you also wanted to swim? Why don't you bring Dean with you, it's safer if you're accompanied by someone." Lolo said I looked at Dean, he slightly furrowed his eyebrows.
"No.. it's okay lolo! I might be a bother..right?" and I glanced at him, giving him this slight awkward smile because I'm kinda embarrassed. Squinted eyes looking at me and there is still this heavy aura from him that is too much.
