Chapter 3
"So you're crushing over this guy?" Cassie said, she asked for a facetime and as my bestfriend, my mouth has no control when it comes to her.
"Yes, it's just a little crush." I answered as I'm trying to convince her. "The word handsome is even underrated."
"I'm very curious! Do you have any picture of him?" she asked and I thought about it. I busied myself yesterday taking pictures, but I didn't take any pictures of him. Why would I do that?? I shook my head as an answer to her. "Why? You love taking pictures there! Atleast one photo of him."
I never thought of that yesterday, I was crazy nervous around him and I busied myself to shake off my thoughts and nervousness.
"We'll still see each other, Cass, maybe that time I will already." I said to her while fixing my hair facing in the vanity mirror and my laptop is on bed. "I'll call you again, I should go."
"Okay give me a single photo or I will die out in curiosity." my beautiful blonde friend said in exaggeration.
"Fine, bye. I love you!"
"I love you too, enjoy!" she replied and ended the call. I sigh. Another day, another interaction with him.
She's been my bestfriend ever since primary school. We are neighbors and she has a hot twin which is also my bestfriend, Elliot. We're friends for life, and they are British, maybe that's also a factor for our strong bond? I hope it makes sense.
Anyways, lolo just asked me to go with Dean to the capitol to get some of his papers. I couldn't say no to him because what would be the reason for me not to go? Nothing. I don't want to give any doubtful thoughts. But why am I so defensive? Urghhh.
I'm now ready wearing my simple strap summer dress in beige and strap sandals. It's really hot in here, maybe I should bring my huge sunglasses. After I'm satisfied with myself, I immediately went down and I saw lolo on the patio drinking his tea.
"Hi Lo! Where's mom?" I asked as I gave him a kiss on the cheeks.
"May binili lang sa bayan, mukhang pasalubong para sa ama mo." he answered and I sat across him.
"Is that too early for that? Literally we're staying here for a month, and it's just our third day." I said and a housemaid poured tea for me. "Thank you.." I whispered and she excused herself.
"It's not like you don't know your mother. Madayo lang sa bayan, mamimili agad."he said as he sipped his tea. Yes, my mom and her obsession with shopping. But shopping here is very harmless. I don't know how many times they would argue with Dad about everytime she shops in the States.
"You're right lo, she also mentioned to me that she would really buy a lot as she missed the local." I said and looked at the wide garden in front of me, it is really peaceful to have your tea here.
"By the way Av, what do you think of Dean?" he asked at napatingin ako sa kanya. That's very unusual to ask huh.
"What do you mean, lo?" I asked and I'm still holding my tea, unable to put it down.
"I mean, how's he to you? How do you find him..as your companion yesterday? Is he a good guy?" he continued while sipping his tea and raising an eyebrow while looking at me. Seems like he's all eyes and ears for my answer.
"Yes, he's a nice guy. Kinda brooding but gentleman. Chivalry is not dead, huh" I said and tried to look normal like there's no big deal in it, but I don't know why I'm unnecessarily tense!
"Brooding huh, what do you mean?" he added now I can really see how attentive he is!
"He's kinda dark..for my liking..I mean maybe he's way older than me? He's not the usual man my age, not cocky but serious and sometimes too much-I mean-he barely even smiles when I was with him.'' What the hell am I talking about?? Why is it that I'm talking about my liking??
