-Shadows POV-
I wave at Erratum as he walks off to his room. He's mumbling about life, probably the philosopher in him. I laugh a little, seeing Trance's disappointed face after Erratum not staying in the living room.
I walk into the kitchen, planning how to get Trance and Erratum together while making lunch. I decide to do something simple, peanut butter and jam sandwiches. Erratum is clueless while Trance already has some feelings, so neither would think it's a date. I finish making the sandwiches, so I put them on plates and call everyone to the kitchen.
"Thank you, Shadow" Trance smiles as he grabs his plate, walking into the dining room.
"ThAnKs, ShAdY!" Erratum claps his hands together, grabs his plate and follows Trance. I grab plates for the kids and one for myself, then I follow Erratum and Trance with the kids behind me.

"Mommy?" Quill grabs my attention as I'm washing the dishes.
"Yes darling?" I say as I look down at him temporarily.
"Why do Daddy and Dada not really get along?"
"Why do you ask?"
"I saw them fighting once, then you yelled at them to stop. Dada's magic was more orangey and Daddy had something that looked like strings flying around him! You had magic that was black and white!"
"Well..." I pause for a moment, it's harder to answer these two then other children I've fostered in the past... "Well, Daddy and Dada have.... They've had issues before we met you, they didn't really get along. They had no time to adjust to seeing each other, let alone living with each other, before we got stuck together, with you and Raven, looking for a home." I can see that Quill is crying a little bit, tears edging his eye sockets.
"So... Is it mine and Ravens fault that Daddy and Dada were fighting..?" Quill's voice cracks as he speaks, he's really crying now.
"No! No, not at all darling! They just have issues between them, that's all! It's not yours nor Raven's fault!" I whine gently, taking off my rubber gloves and gently grabbing Quill's shoulders. "Where did you get that idea from?"
"Wording... I guess..."
"That's not at all what I meant, it's not your fault."
I bring Quill into the living room, sitting down beside him.
"Don't worry, it's never your fault. Ever. Daddy and Dada just don't get along that well! It's okay, it's not your fault." I smile, looking at Quill. I hear him whine a little. "It's just... Time likes to jump around, doesn't it?"
lmao, i'm updating again. signing off with 420 words.
Future me rereading this for the next chapter: omg why is this like a vent- I'm literally trying to make shadow into the mother I needed instead of the one who isn't there for me lmao-
