The Assassination?

Edwin was now in the man's house hiding just outside his open window.
The man walked inside while whistling oblivious to what was going to happen to him in a few seconds.
Edwin quickly jumped into the room running towards him and slitting his throat, luckily the man didn't have any family or friends so he wouldn't need to worry about hiding the body because no one will look for him.

Edwin walked back to his house to get the woman
"Are you coming?" Edwin asked the woman
"Where?" She questioned
"To the man's house to show you that he's actually dead" Edwin explained
"Oh...ok" the woman agreed

They got to the man's house and when Edwin walked in and looked down he noticed that the man was now gone
"So there's a slight problem" Edwin said to the woman not taking his eyes off the ground
"What?" The woman asked
"I did kill him however his body is gone and I wasn't the one who moved it" Edwin explained
"Do you think he's still alive?" the woman quietly asked
"I don't know" Edwin said almost whispering
