As the nurse pushed the plunger she felt the painful tingling sensation on her arm as the medication was being given to her. The pain she felt from the shot was already enough to take her attention away from the throbbing on her left side.

Thank goodness. She thought she was going to die the moment the car hit her. Well the Almighty One above sure knows mercy.

"You should not be doing a lot of strenuous activities until you've recuperated." The nurse instructed as she covered the used syringe with its cap. "You almost broke three ribs, we don't want that to really happen, right?"

She gave a light nod and said some quick thanks to the nurse who attended to her, and then turned to her companion-who was scared shitless.

"I did not die Buster, loosen up."

The boy with a red mohawk glared at her. He was obviously not taking well to her joke.

"You're not the one candidate for castration here Stelix" He muttered to her, then gulped at the thought.

The girl sitting on the bed rolled her blue eyes "I almost got myself killed Busty, lucky for you I'm still joking here to lighten up the mood."

"Shit! I swear if Dae-" But he wasn't able to continue because the door opened with a slam, revealing two equally handsome young men wearing muscle shirts, clenching and unclenching their fists.

As she watched two of her closest friends step inside, she instantly knew that Buster wasn't leaving without breaking a finger or two.

The very moment Daemon stepped inside the halls of his school, he already felt the prying eyes of the people around. He did not like it at all, but over the years he'd learned to ignore it.

There is only one goal as of the moment: to take his best friend to her classroom without anybody coming over and asking her what happened. It wasn't like anyone really deserved to know, like they needed to waste their time on curious and intrusive questions.

When he saw Kenya McEmily Berrington he knew that it was impossible to reach that goal now.

Kenya isn't the school's biggest gossip, she's just one of the concerned few who want to learn details to try to improve the situation. She's also the Student Council President after all. When she heard what happened to Stelix earlier today, she immediately went to find her.

"Are you alright?" she asked politely. The frown on Stelix face answered her question.

Rex is your I-don't-care-about-the-world type of guy and his poker face proves the point. He doesn't care about anything at all, but the situation at hand amused him so much that it almost made him lose the disinterested expression on his face. Almost.

"Look Berrington, what happened to me earlier is none of your f-ing business" Stelix said coldly. "And it was an accident, so don't try to scoop up the details, coz no matter what it ain't gonna change anything."

Kenya swallowed hard. Clearly she just got herself humiliated by Stelix, again. But then she nodded in understanding "If there is anything I can do to help just tell me"

Stelix scoffed "Then do me a favor, and wipe yourself off the face of the earth coz people like you are sore to my eyes"

Someone cleared his throat from behind and the crowd gave way to another Reeve Grahn Academy star. Sloan Pettischuter. Great, just great.

"She was just trying to help Ms. Stella" Sloan said as he stopped by Kenya's side and held her hand.

Daemon rolled his eyes at another of Sloan's common "grand entrances". The idiot sure knows how to run a show. Daemon glanced at Stelix, who'd gone rigid as she heard Sloan call her by her true name. Buster, Rex and he knew all too well how Stelix hated to be called by that name. Daemon did expect his best friend to throw a punch like she usually does like when Buster teases her with that name, but instead she just smirked and walked away.
