Jessica Castle is a girl with her life together. Well, mostly together. A successful chef who has worked as a sous chef in one of the most exclusive restaurants in Chicago, she is taking the plunge into opening her own little restaurant. With the grand opening needing to be planned, Jessica's life becomes a little hectic, trying to round out the rest of her staff, and most importantly, coming up with a name for said restaurant. When a text goes to someone it definitely should not have, Jessica becomes very intriguing to Klaus Mikaelson. One accidental exchange turns into daily messages and meeting the family and quickly becomes something neither of them expected. Who knew a chef and hybrid could turn out to be such good companions?
