Chapter 25

He waved his hand goodbye and Gulliver stood there almost speechless. What will happen to his plan of avoiding him now?

Andrian was a few meters away and he decided to run after him.

"Wait. Wait a minute damn it!" He yelled but Andrian was too far away or did he just not listen to him?

"I'm doing laundry so suit yourself and do whatever you want-- sir!" He yelled back.

Moments later, Gulliver crashed on his knees and elbows to the hard ground. It has only been a night since he woke up from the long coma and his wound still hurt.

Andrian heard the crash and turned around abruptly. Upon seeing him down to the ground, he let go of his basket immediately and ran to aid him.

He helped him get up. He put his arm around his neck and still, Gulliver didn't look his way.

"Geez, you shouldn't run too much. You should stay at bed." Andrian said and Gulliver quickly replied with, "How dare you scold your boss!"

"Well, boss. I'm your caretaker for now so bear with the scolding." He rolled his eyes and started walking.

At the moment, both didn't look at each other. One looked at the right side and the other looked at his left side. Why?-- both were incredibly blushing! They were both so close to each other and they were still at the state of denial.

It was an awfully awkward situation. The room was still far ahead and neither sparked a conversation. Both realized this and decided to say something.

"Want an apple pie?" Andrian asked and looked at him while Gulliver, at the same time, turned his head to say, "Bake me something."

Both stopped walking as they realized they were looking at each other-- eye to eye. They were only a few inches apart and they blushed to the core.

After a whole minute of staring. Andrian cleared his throat, looked away and started walking again.

"Say, you really like apple pie don't you?" Andrian asked.

"Well yeah. It's my favorite. You should bake one again, your baking tastes nice." Gulliver said this while looking at the sky.
Andrian blushed and said, "T-thanks."

They both arrived and he laid Gulliver to his bed. "Still want apple pie?" Andrian asked and Gulliver nodded his head yes.

For the whole morning, all Andrian did was clean here and clean there.

"Goodness! This house is ludicrously dirty!" He exclaimed.

"Well, you're the caretaker so bear with it." Gulliver said with a smug face as he leaned on the door in crossed arms and looked at Andrian with a smirk.

"What do you want now? Shouldn't you be staying in bed rather than annoying me?" Andrian raised his eyebrow as he turned around to see him.

"I've been there for hours." Gulliver said as he walked nearer to Andrian.

"Whatever." He whispered as he got back to cleaning.

Gulliver sat on a nearby chair and watched him clean stuff. Suddenly, a gust of wind came in the door and a visitor walked in.

Andrian coughed as the dusts he gathered flew with the wind. He rubbed his eyes and he saw Gulliver with a stern face. He looked at where he was staring so fiercely at but the dusty wind became foggy and he couldn't see right. He waved his hand, trying to clear away the wind and he fumbled to the floor. He screamed as he saw a monstrous figure.

It had enormous wings and curled horns, it even had a long tail that whipped as it moved nearer-- to him!

Andrian just knew it-- a devil! Even if it was, he can't talk nor scream his fear out. He looked to the side where he saw Gulliver looking calm and collected.

The fog cleared up and Andrian flinched as he saw the whole monstrous figure of the devil. It was looking at Gulliver with a smirk and it's eyes glowed red.

"Nice to see you, Gulliver. You've got mail again." The devil said and he handed out a blood red envelope which seemed to contain a letter.

Andrian almost cried to see it's long, sharp nails. He was a human, of course he wasn't used to seeing devilish creatures.

Gulliver stepped forward and snatched the red envelope. The devil soon looked at Andrian and it laughed sinisterly as it said, "I see you have another petty human! Do you perhaps plan on killing a male one this time?!" Without a second, Gulliver came near the devil and gripped it's neck.

The devil choked, almost out of breath and it scratched his hand.

Gulliver came near his ear and whispered, "Shut up and go back to the underworld already."

It shrieked in fear and poof smoke appeared and the devil was now gone. Andrian was still lying on the floor, all terrified by what just happened.

Gulliver forwarded his hand to him and Andrian abruptly held it. He helped him stand up and he asked nervously, "What was that thing?" He shivered.

"It's a winged demon. Don't worry, it just came to hand me a letter." Gulliver said and he replied with an oh.

It was afternoon and Andrian barely recovered from the shock that morning. He was sitting at a bench outside the house and he remembered what the devil said to Gulliver, "I see you have another petty human! Do you perhaps plan on killing a male one this time?!"

Andrian suddenly remembered that time when he asked Little Tony if Gulliver had other humans in his house before. He remembered how Tony told him that it was a sensitive topic and it shouldn't be talked about too much.

"Could what that devil said be connected to what Tony said? Tony said Gulliver was unable to feel love and that devil said something as if Gulliver killed all humans he had in his house. What does this mean?" Andrian whispered to himself, trying to put together the pieces of the mystery: What's with Gulliver being unable to feel love connected to him killing other humans inside his house?

It's all too vague but certainly, Gulliver kept secrets-- and those secrets weren't too shallow to be just disregarded.

Now, with the appearance of the devil and with what he said, there was another mystery to him and Andrian wanted to figure it out. He was determined on playing detective.

"Just a week ago, I saw Gulliver ruthlessly killing humans and now I think I can assume that he also killed humans that he kept inside his house. Could that possibly be connected in a way?" Andrian said and he remembered Hell's offer.

Hell offered him to talk about why Gulliver killed humans. If Hell wanted to talk about it, there must be a reasonable explanation to this. Andrian thought about seeing Hell and he sighed.

"I think I'll wait for Javien to get back. Gulliver still needs someone to look out for him, then I'll see Hell and ask about it. I don't know why, but I think I need to know more about Gulliver's history with his human servants." Andrian whispered to himself in a stern tone and he made a decision.

"Anyway, that's one thing to take care of and there's still another. I also need to ask Gulliver about his plan on me leaving this place." Andrian said and continued with, "I still have someone waiting for me in the human world."

And so, he decided to make a plan:

"Later, I'll talk to Gulliver about his decision on me leaving this place and then I'll see Hell and ask about it."
