Lan Wangji POV: Main Headquarters, Lobby - 11:40am
I walk out of the meeting room room thinking nothing much of the meeting. The usual real, someone is always trying to cause a stir so it's best to leave it alone. When I get to the lobby I see the man in purple who had spoken up during the meeting, Jiang Cheng I presume. As I continue to walk I get a clear view of the man he's talking to.
Immediately my head begins pounding, and my chest tightens. I feel as though I'm being torn from the inside. Yet more then that I feel a great deal of jealousy. Even more so when the man in black and red suddenly collapses and Jiang Cheng begins to shake his shoulder. After calming down the man looks directly up at me.
I freeze. For the first time in my life, I don't know what to do, so I merely look back. Sweat drips down his face and his eyes showing a clear confusion. I don't want to look at this man any longer. I feel like he sees through me. Narrowing my eyes slightly I walk away, almost forgetting about the pain tearing through my body.
Almost.
As I walk farther away the pain worsens, I feel like I'm leaving something, someone, important behind. Resisting the urge to look over my shoulder at the beautiful man, I leave the building and head to my office as soon as I can. Throughout the day I try to distract myself, working nonstop until finally someone stops me.
"Wangji" a familiar voice calls out. "What happened? You're overdoing it, even for you." Looking up I see a slim figure in the doorway,
