THIRD PERSON

The both of them immediately went out of the club room after Jangseul opened the door. And of course, they were greeted by running students with zombies chasing them.

Jangseul and Areum looked at each other.

"Bitch, let's run."

Jangseul nodded at Areum and so they ran. They can't handle that many zombies with just a wooden sword in hand and they're not plain stupid to not realize that.

Jangseul dodged the zombie that was about to grab her making it stumble like a drunk person.

"Hey, is that Suhyeok?" Areum asked, pointing her hands as they run.

Jangseul squinted her eyes at where her best friend is pointing before nodding. "It is Bare-su," but then she noticed someone running with him. "And Namra."

"Let's go." Jangseul said, running faster.

"Yah! Wait for me, you– fucking zombies really can't get out of the way!"

The Kendo club captain lightly chuckled at what she just heard from Areum.

"Bare-su!" Jangseul called as she's nearing him and Namra.

She saw the relief on her brother's face when he saw her.

"Are you both okay?" Jangseul immediately asked, scanning their bodies for bite marks.

"We're okay." Her brother replied.

Jangseul then felt someone smacked her in the head.

"That's for not waiting for me." Areum said in between pants.

Jangseul glared at Areum but decided to let it pass because that's not important for now. She looked around, noticing a ladder near the building.

"Let's move,"  Jangseul said. "C'mon, we'll use that ladder." She pointed the ladder not so far from them.

Suhyeok took the lead while Jangseul is at the end making Areum and Namra in the middle.

Fortunately, Suhyeok and Namra's classroom was just beside the ladder. Suhyeok successfully climbed up the window with the help of their other classmates.

He then stucked out his arm, ready to help Areum who climbed up next.

Jangseul stood protectively in front of Namra as she wait for her turn to climb.

A zombie was about to launch itself at Jangseul but she striked it with her bokken before kicking it.

She looked behind her and saw Namra already climbing the ladder but her eyes instantly went back to the zombie who just got up.

"Hey, Wifey? You might want to hurry up. I don't want to become a zombie's meal." Jangseul said before striking the zombie again with extra force this time.

Namra climbed faster upon hearing that, her cheeks didn't failed to heat up especially after hearing what Jangseul had called her.

Seeing the zombie laying on the ground, Jangseul quickly climbed up the ladder.

Suhyeok's eyes widened as the zombie got up, ready to pounce at the ladder.

He held his hands outside the window. "Jangie, hurry up!"

Jangseul sped up, but was not enough.

The zombie pounced at the ladder, but to the grace of the heavens above, luck is on Jangseul's side.

It was the right time she got a hold of Suhyeok's hand before the ladder fell down. Namra and Areum helped him get Jangseul up of the window.

Both Jangseul and Suhyeok laid down to the floor, panting hard.

Suhyeok closed his eyes as if he's in pain. "It's that, isn't it? Zombies."

Jangseul sat up, nodding. "Yes, my stinky feet twin. Those are zombies."

--

Jangseul and Areum stood slightly far away from the others that are looking for a phone.

Areum lightly snickered as she watch Cheongsan go towards the door, facing the phone on one of the zombies face.

"You can make emergency calls without knowing the password." Areum said in which Onjo nodded.

"She's right. Just call 112."

Cheongsan did what was said and Jangseul saw his face after the phone call.

"They think it's a prank or something?" Jangseul asked making Cheongsan look at her.

"Yeah," the boy answered. "They think we're fooling around."

Jangseul expected it, but she can't help but feel annoyed.

Onjo grabbed the phone from Cheongsan and made a call to the fire department, saying that the fire is big.

"Smart." Areum remarked and Jangseul agreed.

"Oi, Jang-bokki."

Jangseul faced her best friend only to see her smirking.

"I heard what you called to Ms. Prez earlier." Said Areum with a teasing tone.

However, Jangseul is not clearly affected. "And what about it?" She asked.

Areum shrugged before sarcastically replying, "I don't know? Maybe you tell me what's going on?"

"I have nothing to tell you." Jangseul said, her voice completely monotone.

Areum rolled her eyes. "Jang-bokki, you do know that I won't stop pestering you about that even amidst this fucking zombie apocalypse, right?"

Jangseul sighed. Areum is one of the most stubborn people that she knows. The girl will definitely not stop until she gets what she wants.

"We had a past," started Jangseul in a whisper.

"Oh shit, I didn't know that."

Jangseul widened her eyes at her best friend. "Shut up and just listen."

Areum gave her a cheeky smile before making a peace sign.

Jangseul cleared her throat. "As I've said, we had a past but I don't know though. We never really broke up, I just stayed away from her."

Areum then smacked Jangseul's head. "Why did you stayed away, you dumbo?" Areum glared.

Jangseul matched the glare of her best friend. "Her mother made me, okay? She said that if I don't stay away from her daughter, she will disown Namra."

By hearing that, Areum gave Jangseul a soft look and a pat on the shoulder.

"Is that the reason why you also transferred to our class?"

Jangseul nodded at Areum's query.

"That must be hard," Areum sadly smiled. "You still love her, do you?"

Jangseul smiled. "I never stopped loving her."
