THIRD PERSON

"We need to get out of here," Lee Cheongsan said. "We're not going to last here longer."

Hearing that, Areum nodded. "You're right."

"Where do we go then?" Wujin asked, thinking that it's impossible to get out of this room with that many zombies outside, waiting for them.

Areum saw Cheongsan's eyes that was set on the hose just near outside the door.

"Are we going to use that hose?" Areum asked in confirmation in which Cheongsan nodded.

"Gyeongsu-yah." Cheongsan called the boy who guards the door.

Gyeongsu looked at him. "Yeah? What is it?"

Cheongsan walked closer to the door, Areum following behind him.

"Open the door just a few inches," said Cheongsan. "Just enough for the hose to fit."

Gyeongsu looked at the Lee in complain. "Isn't it better if we just wait for the rescuers to come and save us?"

"We might all die by the time they arrive." Cheongsan retorted.

"I agree," Areum said, nodding at what Cheongsan said. "I mean, look at the zombies outside... And the windows, they're broken." She added.

"This will kill us faster. It's just gonna be-"

Cheongsan cuts Gyeongsu's sentence, "Is waiting for someone to save us the best thing we can do?"

"Oh, whatever," Gyeongsu sighed. "If I turn into zombie... You're so mad." He narrowed his eyes at Cheongsan before carefully opening the door just as what Cheongsan needs.

Lee Cheongsan reached for the hose, at the same time careful and alert. His hand was about to touch the hose when a zombie walks pass, it's feet barely hitting his hand.

Unfortunately, the hose got slightly pushed because of the zombie's feet making it impossible for Cheongsan to reach it using his hand.

He stayed back, closing the door.

"Did you get it?" Gyeongsu dumbly asked.

Areum lightly smacked his head. "Can't you see that he's not holding any hose in his hand?"

"I can't reach it." Cheongsan said making Areum give him her bokken.

"Use this."

The guy nodded in thanks before gently opening the door again. It didn't took him that long to get a hold of the hose.

Cheongsan gave the bokken back to Areum who immediately went to guard the door.

"Help me tie some knots."

They proceeded to make a makeshift ladder that can help them to go down from the window.

"I'll go down and check the empty rooms. I'll call when it's clear, okay?"

The others nodded.

Cheongsan holds the makeshift ladder, but then his eyes saw his still mourning best friend so he decided not to go down first.

"Gyeongsu, you go first."

Gyeongsu looked at him, confused. "Why? Did you see something?"

"No," Cheongsan replied. "But you go first."

"What's down there?" Gyeongsu asked, slightly terrified to go down.

Cheongsan lightly pushed Gyeongsu towards to window saying, "Just go."

"You know what? I'll go down first." Areum butted in, getting impatient.

Seeing Areum grab the makeshift ladder as she carefully stepped up to the windows ledge, a certain Nam stood up from where she sat.

Areum felt someone's hand on the hem of her Kendo uniform's sleeves making her look back.

"Why?" The Yang asked in wonder.

"Please be careful." It was like a whisper that Areum almost didn't catched it.

The Yang's eyes formed into crescents as she smiled at Nam Onjo.

"I will," the Yang then smirked. "I'm the legendary Yang Areum, I don't die easily."

"You mean legendary Yang-nyeom chicken."

Areum glared at Jangseul who just looked innocently at her. "Yah! Shut up!"

Gyeongsu and Daesu chuckled at the exchange while the others smiled. The Kendo club duo's dynamics can really be unpredictable sometimes.

Areum looked back at Onjo who had a small smile on her lips.

"I'll go down now."

The guys helped her slowly go down, also supporting her and the hose.

"Fucking hell!"

The others got alerted at Areum's yell.

"Why? What happened?!" Gyeongsu asked, frantic.

Areum's face formed into a grimace as she looked at the glass window in front of her. "Nothing! Just saw something so ugly, ew." She answered back making the others sigh in relief.

She continued to go down to the window below and fortunately, she saw a familiar face.

"Ms. Park!" The Yang exclaimed, glad that there's an adult who can help them now.

"Guys, Ms. Park is here!" She informed the others.

The English teacher opened the window and helped the younger to go inside.

"Areum-ah! You're okay." The older pulled the Areum into an embrace, relieved that one student that she know is fine.

"Were you with the other kids by any chance?" The English teacher asked.

Areum nodded. "They're at the Science Lab, ssaem. They'll come down now."

Just as what Areum said, the others went down one by one.

Only four students are still in the Science Lab. Jangseul found a sticky note that she sticked to the wall for her brother, saying that they'll be in the broadcasting room.

"You guys might want to hurry." Jangseul said, looking at the door getting slammed by zombies.

She quickly went to help Namra as the girl goes down. Onjo got down next but the door is almost breaking.

"You go first." Both of the Lees said in unison, looking at each other.

Their heads then snapped at the door that already gave up holding on for it's dear life because of too much pressure.

Jangseul sighed before pulling Cheongsan towards the window. "Hold on tight." She said making the guy look at her incredulously.

"T-the hose can't handle the both of us."

Jangseul just smirked, a sight that's rare to see. "Just trust me, Lee Cheongsan."

--

Down to the second floor, Ms. Park checked the other students if they're fine.

"Why are they still not here?" Mumbled Areum, worry laced on her voice.

They looked at the window, waiting for the two Lees to come down.

But instead of seeing Jangseul and Cheongsan, zombies falling down the fourth floor came into their view.

Neither of the two came down.
