Things have been moving fast lately, Samai and I decided to get married next month since she wanted us to be married before our baby gets here. It also made sense to move into our new place before the wedding.

Samai was more worried about time than I was. As much as I tried to keep her calm, she was still worried because she hates doing things last minute. The last thing I want is for her to be stressed so I'm speeding things up and doing all I can so she can ease some of that worry.

"I gotta take these out, they're getting old." My fiancé announced as she came in the living room.

"What's getting old?" I asked.

"These braids,"

"They look fine to me." I honestly didn't see anything wrong with them.

"Today makes a month since I've had them in. They're old,"

"Right..."

"You're helping me take them out tonight, I'll get them redone sometime this week."

"So soon?"

"Yes Enzo, unless you want to style my natural hair for me everyday?" She gave me a weird smile.

I thought back to all those times she's been in the mirror doing her hair and how frustrated she looked when something went wrong. Like her hair tie breaking in the middle of her putting up her hair or the many times I've seen that comb with the skinny end snap in half when she trying to comb it through.

"Uhh no?" It came out more as a question.

"Actually, yes you will. Now let's go meet the realtor before we're late."

"What do you mean yes I will?"

"You'll see,"

We made our way to the garage and got in the car. We made basic conversation on the way to the first house which wasn't too far from where my place was.

"This looks nice," Samai says as I pulled into driveway.

"Exterior looks good." I commented.

Our realtor Carter was standing at the front of the door waiting for us. As I parked the vehicle I saw Samai reach for the door handle.

"Don't." I said in a firm tone.

"I can get it,"

"And I'm not repeating myself." We've had this discussion plenty of times but Samai's stubbornness always fought back.

After opening the door for her I held her hand as she stepped out. As she was about to walk my hand came down on her ass. She gasped audibly.

"Don't let it happen again," I warned.

"Carter is right there Enzo!" She whisper yelled.

Carter was busy on his phone and not looking in our direction. And quite frankly I didn't give a fuck who saw.
