Another short chapter, but I hope you enjoy! Don't forget to rate and comment! And most importantly, stay safe and take care<3

Nanashima stretched out over the mattress, feeling tired yet recharged. He didn't want to leave the warm quiet room quite yet...quiet? The soft sound of someone breathing next to him didn't go unnoticed. Nana opened his eyes only to see Murata aka Good guy aka someone that really shouldn't be sharing the same mattress as him - right by his side. In fact, their legs were still entangled, warm skin brushing against each other. If Nana's body wasn't aching so much, he might have noticed the sense of touch earlier, but now he simply felt betrayed by his eyes. He slowly moved away, careful about not waking up the new recruit. What a bother.

This could truly mess up his plans, and he who was so close, just within arms reach now after months of work. Murata's dark bangs were messily spread around his sleeping face, his eyelashes were dark and long, the angles of his face looked sharp, but he still looked young. Young and naïve, Nana thought to himself. They were probably around the same age by the looks of it. This wasn't the time to feel bad for the guy, but Nana couldn't help it, he was worried. Suddenly he cared for a complete stranger. Well, he wouldn't have been there if he didn't care for people. This was dangerous, not a good situation to be wrapped up in. Murata's innocence would be the end of him, seeing him get killed would be such a waste. Nana couldn't jeopardize his plans, but he didn't want to see a young guy get into this mess. Warning him didn't help, Good guy was headstrong and stubborn in a bad way. Well, he simply lacked the knowledge, he couldn't know any better, could he?

The raven suddenly rolled over and accidentally grabbed Nana by his thigh, the sudden touch made him shudder. It tickled. That was no place to casually be touched by a stranger by, so Nana jerked his leg away and got up. What a troublesome guy.

Blood rushed to his face as he remembered their kiss, he looked down at the young man. It wasn't bad. Nana began to quietly dress himself in the corner of the room. Was he simply biased about Good guy because of his good looks, perhaps? Maybe that's why he was worried, simply because of the biases of nature. Nana had never been one to keep his calm, he recognized that about himself, but a job was a job, and in this case, a very important one. He had to be rational. He wanted to stay on track, if possible get Murata out of khnm so that the guy could start a new path, a normal safe life, he seemed worthy of that. Nana wasn't cold-hearted... but if getting Murata out would prove to be impossible, he would have to end him.

After getting on a stylish pair of light washed straight legged jeans and a chunky retro styled jacket, he headed to the bathroom. Wet and blow-dried his hair to style it, put on his earrings and jewellery, sprayed himself down with cologne and observed himself in the mirror. He barely recognized himself from his usual boring attire. He liked being flashy, he just always couldn't.

8 opened the bathroom door without a warning. Number 8, the first in command, Serinuma Kae. She smiled and teasingly walked up to him. Her hair was curled, dyed purple and hung like a mane around her small round face. Just like Shi, it made no visual sense to him that she was the leader, let alone part of the group. She looked like any other pretty girl, someone who belonged at a café taking cute pictures to her Instagram with her friends, not dealing dangerous drugs from a rotten basement.

She leaned in close to him and slowly pressed herself against his body. He didn't move, hands on the sink, leaning back against it. What did she want? She smirked, leering eyes locked on him.

"Hi", she whispered, arms around him, caressing his back under the jacket. Even if she looked like any other top tier beauty she was far from normal, like a cat she played with them as she wanted, like a chess master she thought about every move ahead. Nanashima had never met anyone like her. A shiver sent down his spine. She purred against his chest, fingers still tracing his back over the shirt fabric. He didn't move, it wasn't his place to move, he knew that.

"Serinuma", he gently answered. She stopped, looking up at him with her big, downturned eyes. If you only looked at her eyes, she almost looked sad, it could fool you if you weren't careful.

"I was going to ask if you wanted to play with me", she started, slowly trailing off with her words. Her gaze wandering off to elsewhere.

"But?" Nana asked, knowing there was more. She lit up, quickly grabbed his hands and squeezed them.

"You made me curious about Good guy", they hadn't met yet, but knowing the top of the iceberg of Serinuma meant that she had already made herself well-informed about the guy. It was dangerous to lie to her, Nanashima had failed and barely made it the times that he did, so he opted to tell the truth.

"He's a good guy, funny enough. It worries me", Murata had proven himself useful before they got in contact with him, he didn't actually need to prove himself any more, the team had already analysed him. Nana had checked his responses just to be sure himself of whom the guy was, mentally adding his notes.

"Like he doesn't belong here?" she caressed his hands with her thumbs. By her voice alone she sounded sincere, but Nana could tell that she was teasing him. It was annoying knowing he couldn't do anything major about it.

"My same thought applies to the rest of you. I'm worried he'll get more than he bargained for", he kept it snappy but emotionless. She had the upper hand nonetheless, so his response truly didn't matter in the great scheme of things.

"How sweet of you, already dotting on the new guy", she leaned in again, chest against his body, fluttering her eyelashes mockingly. He wasn't going soft on Murata, he had checked him, and the results worried him. There was nothing more about it.

"I'm not-"

"You made out and then cuddled Blondy, I'm not blind", he didn't know what to say. The statement caught him off guard. She made it sound like something completely different from what it was, and he knew that she knew that. Information travelled fast if you were Serinuma Kae. This was the chess piece she had decided to move, for what purposes Nanashima didn't know. "Don't mind if I try him out too? I sent him a gift after all", she pushed her hip out, seemingly pleased and amused by his response. Nanashima wasn't surprised yet, that may not have translated to his face. He nodded. "Breakfast in 20, let's have a meeting", she walked out, her shapely silhouette disappearing in the dim lit corridor. Fuck. This situation was more alarming than what it had seemed like at first glance. He didn't know what was up, but he knew it wouldn't be any good.
