The Secret

Lunchroom

(The first 5 characters go to De vil highschool, all juniors)

Parker James/PJ- 16, funny, sarcastic, skateboarder, brown hair, brown eyes

Constance- 17, sweet, kind, baker(can get really mad when angry, also has a mom type of energy) blonde hair, green eyes

Coral-16, adventurous, logical, artistic, can be mean to new people at times, brown hair, hazel eyes

Gael-16, scared easily, insecure about himself, respectful, nerdy, bookworm, dyed hair (grey/ white) green eyes, (new to the group)

August- 17, care free, loving, loyal, light brown hair, grey eyes

(They all have homeroom together and different classes with each other through out the day/ schedule)

De vil high school; lunchroom

Gael is waiting in the lunchroom for his friends, he finished early with his work so he got to go to lunch a few minutes early. Gael waves over to his friends that are coming into the lunchroom, while trying to keep his place in his book. "Hey, guys over here!" he enthusiastically said. 

Coral being the mean and grouchy one of the group "Gael you don't need to do that we know where we usually sit." She says while chucking slightly

" Dude let him be, he can do what he wants. And he can wave us over if he wants." August retorts to Coral while nudging her in the shoulder.

While August and Coral are arguing while walking to the lunch line the others sit down with Gael, who looks down in embarrassment.

"Gael, it's fine. " PJ said while he smiles at Gael as he sees him look up from his lap. 

"Th- thanks PJ. I'm sorry if I embarrassed ya'll." Gael mumbles. 

"Hey, it's fine. Now let's eat i'm starved. Math today made me hungry. We talking about the volumes of 3d shapes and an example was pie and I got hungry." She said in a motherly tone then changed to a goofy one while taking out her lunch bag from her bag.

"Over course you are. Thanks guys for letting me join your group, I usually was bullied and used for homework and an outcast because of... nev- never mind." Gael looked on the verge of crying while saying the last sentence as he looked down at his lap again. 

As PJ/Parker James and Constance looked at each other confused, Coral and August came over with their lunch trays arguing about what is a better dessert (Pudding or ice cream) and sat down. They noticed Gael who got up to leave.

"I have to use the restroom." Gael quietly mumbled, and ran off to the bathrooms.

Coral decided to break the tension in the room. " What was that about now?"

PJ told Coral and August what Gael said to them, and how he reacted. 

Constance being the mother hen of the group says "It looked like he was about to cry."  While taking a bit of her salad

Coral says "He looked like he was constipated" As she said this August snorts which makes him spit out the chocolate milk he got. 

"Stop, I think he thinks he is just an outsider being used for doing our homework." PJ said in concerned tone.  "He's new here and doesn't know the real people he should be worrying about." 

"You mean Ryker, and his football buddies? Glad that he hasn't been here due to him being in Greece." August says while eating the last bit of his school pizza and taking a sip of his chocolate milk. August also adds some aggressively said curse words about Ryker, under his breath. Coral heard this and chuckles, while she has a sort of mischievous glint in her eye. 

after about 5 minutes of silence Constance speaks up. "I feel bad for him he's only been here for like a month almost. Also it's the middle of the year so he doesn't know the school and other people."

The bell rings signaling the ending of lunch. Constance grabs Gaels backpack and book while shouldering hers and says goodbye to the others and heads to writing class that she has with Gael.

De Vil High School; Boys bathroom

This is what happened in the bathroom when Gael runs out of the cafeteria.

Gael checks all the stalls to make sure no one is in them and goes over to the mirror "Conceal it, don't over react. Conceal it, don't over react." He mumbles over and over again. As he says this he is looking at the mirror and taking deep breaths. Hoping to not have a panic attack.

"That can't happen again what if they found out about me being gay. They would think i'm weird and I would be an outcast again." 

He starts to hyperventilate, he takes deep breaths and calms himself down a bit and looks at his hands to see them not shaking anymore. He takes a deep breath and hears the bell ring. He looks at himself in the mirror. Still a little shaken up he turns around to go to writing class that he has with Constance.
