Neria Surana (Elven Circle Mage, The Warden): A Primal spell mage with a specialization in shapeshifting.
o As a Grey Warden, Neria is fair and just, though her determination can occasionally blind her to alternative options. While she misses her fellow mages from the Circle, she does not miss living there. Much like Morrigan, Neria wanted to explore the world outside the Tower rather than just spend time learning about it.
o Growing up in the Circle, Neria spent much of her time reading and learning. Though she became very knowledgeable about the outside world, she never had a chance to see any of it for herself until the day Duncan came to the Circle Tower.
o Despite knowing that it was against the rules, Neria did enjoy flirting with Cullen once she learned of his crush on her. She sought nothing more than the occasional teasing, and never even thought to attempt to do something physical. After her Harrowing, she did manage to steal a kiss on his cheek without getting caught. However, any romance they might've had vanished when the Circle nearly collapsed due to blood magic.
o When Neria initially found out about Jowan and Lily, she was conflicted, but after talking to Enchanter Irving, she was determined to prove her loyalty to the Circle and agreed to root the two of them out with Irving's blessing. After learning Jowan was a blood mage, Neria completely rejected any former friendship they might've had. In Redcliffe, Neria told Arl Eamon that Jowan deserved execution for his crimes.
Alistair Theirin: Neria is deeply in love with Alistair. Even before the horrific betrayal at Ostagar, she found herself drawn to him, thinking his goofy awkwardness was endearing. However, due to her seclusion within the Circle, she fell for him much faster than she thought possible. While she is apt at flirting, the physical side of romance was foreign to her, and the two of them discovered that side of their relationship together, slowly but surely.
o Neria convinced Alistair to participate in Morrigan's dark ritual. During the battle with the archdemon, Alistair was incapacitated, and Neria struck the final blow to the dragon's head. Thanks to the ritual, they both survived, and Neria remained as Alistair's mistress while he was crowned King of Fereldan. She departed from Denerim soon after to begin rebuilding the Grey Wardens, but returned as often as she could to see him.
o When Alistair failed to find another woman to be his Queen, Neria suggested he bring Anora back to the throne, though neither of them truly liked the idea. Alistair assured her that he would find a suitable wife in time and they continued to carry on as before.
Zevran Arainai: Neria is also in love with Zevran. Though he did make an attempt on her life, she found herself surprised by his quick wit and seductive tongue. His lack of reservation about who he is and what he does caused some confusion for Neria, as she had been taught to be careful about herself her entire life, due to the fact that she's a mage. While their interactions were purely flirtatious as first, it started to bloom into something more.
