'Why must they put these chains on me after every fight, it always hurts my wounds not to mention it's harder to get any sleep'
the chains clinked back and forth as I walked down the hall of what we called the dungeon but in reality was actually a bunch a cages. Mine was in the back since I had been here the longest, I never fully understood why they captured me to fight for them I was a teenager just turned 16 when I was taken. "How was your fight onyx, looks like you won to me" a small fox spoke to me in a sweet tender tone. "He didn't stand much of a chance I don't know why he was even put against me, and get some sleep Melo" I said as the guards unlocked my cage. I walked in and turned for them to remove the metal muzzle which hung from the door as it was to heavy to move. They locked the door and I exhaled to take in all that had been done today. "Your wounds look pretty bad want me to wake lio to see if he can bandage them" melo said in concern I glanced back at the nine tailed fox, her fur was orginally white but the dirt and grim had turned it a blackish grey. "No let lio sleep he has enough people to heal I'll be fine" I curled up in the corner of the enclosure to try and sleep away the aching pain in my body.

~2 hours later~

My ears popped up to suddenly noise at the entrance to the dungeon. 'Everyone should be asleep by now, and the guards and faculty have either gone home or are in the security room asleep' the noise went from cage to cage. I got up in response to the sudden noise and walked to the front of the cage to see who it was. They were just out of sight so I decided to wake melo and lio. I walked to melos side first. "Melo hey wake up someone's here.....Melo wake the hell up" I tried to stay quiet. "Uh...onyx go to sleep it's the middle of the night.....Wait you said someone's here!" Melo popped up quickly after realizing what I said. "Yes now shush I got to wake lio so keep an eye out" I then turned and walked to the other side of the cage where lios met mine. The noise only got closer which meant they weren't far from us I could barely hear them whispering but couldn't make it out. I got to lios side and reached my front leg through the bars to tap him. He sleeps like a rock I keep telling him to sleep closer to the bars so I can wake him but he never listens. "Lio wake up someone's here" he turned towards me and came closer to hear me better "you said someone's here but who onyx no one is allowed back here other than the guards" lio was full of fear and looked to me for answers but I didn't know anything. "Look you two stay in the back of your cages trust me who ever they are these metal bars won't keep me from tearing them apart to protect you guys" as I said that the voices were practically apon us. They came in front of lio's cage first, they shined a light towards him and a man spoke "that's not him let's keep looking" his voice was full of emotion from anger to fear but why. They then moved to my cage but they didn't have to look hard because I was up in their faces a few jumped back when the light hit my face. I had lowered my head so that we were kinda face to face, it's hard to do that when your body is like 20 times bigger than them and your head is the size of their vehicles. "That's him we found him k-" I interrupted him "And you are?" The man stood in shock which was hard to see since it was dark and a light was in my eyes. "Its me Elliott...you don't recognize me?" The man spoke in a broken voice. I huffed and responded "Look I haven't exactly been out in the world recently, and we don't meet the owner of those we fight let alone fans so no I don't". "We grew up together kaon you and I were bes-" "What did you just call me!" I was kinda shocked to hear my actually name not just the name engraved on the collar around my neck. "I called you Kaon because that's your name..why?" The man seemed confused by my response.
Melo and Lio were both looking at me and the man speaking. "What do you want with me" I raised my head from his face to a more relaxed position for me humans are always small compared to my full size. "Well I've come to set you free and don't worry I plan to save to two friends here I know they mean a lot to you" his words were filled his honestly and his heart never quickened so he spoke the truth. "I never asked you to save me, plus you truly believe you can rescue one small fox when compared to me, and normal sized dragon and me a big ass drake" Melo and Lio both looked to the man for his response. He did not hesitate to respond "yes I do believe we can rescue you three but you must be willing to cooperate with us in order to make it out alive". I looked to Melo and Lio for their reactions but both were trained on the man leaving me to make the decision. "When I arrived here there was an older fighter who once gave me a piece of advice he said "to live a life you must first survive a life of pain" never completely understood what he meant survive to live was his moto but now I do.... so what do we do?".
