Meeting the Boss & Final Night

This will be the story I'm doing and releasing when I'm bored and on the day's I'm not doing the Xia one and there will be hints of a possible crossover u never what'll come from it hope u enjoy it. Now onto the story.

Cody's POV

Tonight was my last night working for ROH before my contract expired and it was in my hometown of San Jose California and I was set to be fighting Jonathan Gresham for the World Title I knew I was losing with it being my last night and all but I still want to give the fans a match they'll never forget. Once I had just gotten into the arena I was called into the owners office I'm assuming so he could tell me what was happening in the match but I was wrong as when I took a seat he put a contract offer in front of me he said "We want you to stay with ROH and be a big part in why the company succeeds and helping it overtake WWE as N.1" I looked over at the contract and what they were offering was borderline insulting they wanted me too take a 60K pay cut and wanted me to be exclusive to the company.

Cary's POV

I gave him the contract and he just looked at it almost in disgust and shock he then proceeded to ask why he was given an offer with a pay cut and exclusiveness I answered him saying "It's what the board feel your worth to the company right now as I said before we want you to be a building block for the new ROH" as I said that he looked at me as if to say I could kill you right now he answered me saying "I'm fighting Gresham and then I'm done there is no way in hell I'm staying exclusive to ROH there's only one company I'd accept being exclusive for and it's WWE so get this insulting contract out of my face and leave me alone for the rest of the night" once he said it he just walked out and I knew he was gone.

Cody's POV

As I was leaving the office I felt someone bump into me and it was the Women's champ Rok-C she instantly tried to apologise I said "It' fine it's not your fault I should've been paying more attention to where I was going" she looked at me and nodded and accepted it she then asked what I plan on doing once I leave ROH I answered "Not sure yet I'm just gonna wait & see where fate takes me" she nodded again and walked said "I guess that's a good way of thinking about it anyway I'm gonna go get ready for tonight" after we said our goodbyes I went to the locker room and started getting ready for the show whilst I was getting ready Jay Lethal walked in.

Jay's POV

I walked into the locker room to see Cody getting ready so I decided to ask him if he had been offered a new contract by ROH he answered "Yeah an incredibly insulting one" I stupidly asked "How insulting" he answered with "60K pay cut and exclusive to ROH" I nearly choked on thin air when he said that I couldn't believe how stupid the owners were I said "So what's the plan from here then" he said "Let fate decide what's next" I wasn't surprised by his this is what he'd done when first signed with ROH 4 years ago I said "Well whoever get's the best wrestler in the world is a lucky company" he sighed and asked "Jay am I doing the right thing by walking away from sure fire payment" I simply said "No if you think it's what you need to move on then follow your heart" he simply said "Thank's Jay that help's me a lot so I decided to leave and let him finish getting ready.

Cody's POV

Once Jay had left the locker room I started thinking about whether it was actually a good thing to walk away from a guaranteed paycheck then I remembered what Jay had told me "No if you think it's what you need on then follow your heart" my heart couldn't accept the contract had offered me so I listened to it and confirmed on my Instagram that I would be leaving ROH after the end of my match and the fan response was mixed some where happy I was leaving ROH and others where really pissed off and sending threats and stuff then I came across one message from who I thought was a fan but it turned to out to be from the one & only Michael Cole his messaged said "Hey Cody I heard through the grapevine that you are leaving ROH so I thought I would message you to say that WWE are wanting to meet with you on Tuesday" I thought hmm Tuesday so I replied with "Yeah sure what time should I be at the headquarter's" he replied with "Whenever you get there we will be ready for you" I just thought to myself hopefully there contract offer isn't an insulting one.

Later in the show I was by the curtain waiting to make my entrance whilst I was waiting the end of Women' title match was coming to an end as it with Miranda had finally won the title beating Rok-C I was looking  to see if I could see anyone big in the crowd and my eyes stopped looking as I had noticed that Finn Balor, Carmella and Bayley were sitting front row and that just added to my anxiety which was already there cause you know Main Event jitters as I was trying to calm myself down I saw Rok-C come over to me she asked "Nervous" I just nodded my answer she just replied with "Remember it's just another match so what if it's the main event just breathe and think to yourself fate want's me to have the best match possible" I just thanked her and said "Time to steal the show" she wished me luck.

45 Minutes later me and Jonathan have been going at it nonstop with countless false finishes we were coming into the end sequence and as I went for the suicide dive I overshot and despite catching Gresham I still overshot and landed on Finn and Bayley they just looked and said "Want a hand getting up" I just nodded yes and they helped me up and over the barricade I got Gresham back into the ring only to be caught by his octopus hold and after about 90 seconds of struggling I had to tap out and once he let go he helped me up and grabbed a mic.

J.G POV

"If you may or may not know tonight was this man's last night here in ROH and he gave me the toughest test of my reign so far and I just want to say thank you for all that have done for ROH and I hope whatever comes next for you I hope it all goes well, and I also want to say to the owner's that you guys are completely stupid letting the best wrestler in the world today go by not giving this guy the contract he deserves. I'm gonna give you over now to the man of the evening Mr Cody Garner"

Cody's POV

I took the mic from Gresham and started talking "As Gresham said it is my last night here in ROH and I honestly do wish I wasn't given such an insulting extension offer so I could stay and help ROH more but life happens and sometimes you can't help what happens so I'll leave you with this don't be sad that it's over just remember the good times and be happy it happened I love all you guys and I hope that I get to see all of you sooner rather than later" I got out the ring and started saying bye to all the fans then I came across Finn, Bayley and Carmella and I just shook all their hands and moved on to the rest of the crowd once I got backstage the owner came up and started shouting at me about how I outed them about the contract offer and once he was finished all I said was "And you wonder so many or your younger talents want to leave" after I said this I just walked off only to be confronted by Jay Lethal who simply said "Wow you can't even go out graciously" he then slapped me and we started brawling it took the entire roster to pull us apart 

Around 20 minutes after I was pulled and dragged away from Jay Rok-C came up to me and said "Well done on the match but how are you feeling right now" I answered by simply saying "I'm better just can't stand being disrespected by someone I called a friend" she just put her around me and pulled me into a hug once we broke the hug she just said "Good luck and I hope too see you soon and at least not all of your friends have abandoned you" I just smiled at her and said thanks and got changed and went back to my hotel so I could get a couple hours rest before I packed and left for Connecticut.
