originally planned coming out

I wrote this just a few days after I posted the 1st chapter of the original book- February 15th I think? Anyway since it's been there for like a year now I thought why not post it here. mostly fluff, little cringe

Wilbur had invited Schlatt over to his house since his family was out for the day. They were looking for Wilbur needed help with something and didn't know what to do.

"Hey mi amor. Merry Christmas" Schlatt was standing at the front door grinning at his boyfriend.

"Hey," Wilbur gave a weak smile. He was glad to see him too, but he was really nervous. "Uhm... I have something I need to ask you"

Schlatt furrowed his brows in confusion. He usually didn't hear his boyfriend sounding so nervous around him. He tangled Wilbur's hands in his. "Yeah, baby what's up?" Schlatt's voice was now laced with concern. He stepped inside the house closing the door behind them.

"I- I think I- I think I want to come out to my family" Wilbur stuttered over his words.

Schlatt's face lit up. He was so happy. "That's great! I'm so proud of you!" Schlatt pulled Wilbur over into an embrace.

"Thanks, Schlatt... but I don't know if they'll approve of me! Well besides Tommy he said being homo was fine. But I don't know what my dad or Techno will think. I don't want them to kick me out! Where will I go?" Wilbur buried his head in the crook of Schlatt's neck.

"Hey, hey, Shhhh. It's okay, baby" Schlatt held the worried boy in his arms. Not letting go. He rubbed small circles onto his back in an attempt to calm him down.

After a few minutes of the boys embracing each other Schlatt spoke up, "Don't worry, baby. I know its scary, worrying if you'll be accepted. But if your family truly loves you... which I'm sure they do, they'll accept you for being you"

Wilbur let out a sniffle unaware he had been crying, "Thank you, Schlatt. Thank you so much for supporting me forever and respecting my privacy. Thank you for being there for me, and loving me"

They truly were in love with each other. They've been best friends for nearly 5 years from when they first met. And ever since last year, junior year, they've been in love, oblivious of the fact, but they have.

Schlatt moved closer to Wilbur's ear to have his lips brush lightly against him as he spoke "I'll be there for you, Wilbur. Always, and forever"

Wilbur's tears of fear had changed to tears of joy. There really was someone who loved him. "I love you, Schlatt"

Schlatt stopped. He opened and widened his eyes. Had Wilbur really just said he loved him? That's the first time Wilbur had ever said that to him while they were in a relationship. He smiled so wide."I love you too, baby" The boys held each other for what seemed like hours. Just being thankful for the other. "Alright c'mon, Virgo. Your family will be home soon, lets figure out how you wanna do this, okay?"

Willbur nodded into Schlatt's neck before pulling his head away. The two stared at each other. They both felt like the luckiest people in the world for finding the other. "So I was thinking of maybe just gathering everyone around the sofa and then I could kind of just tell them with a speech"

"Sounds perfect. Whatever you want is perfect. And I'll help you" Schlatt had just come out to his parents a few weeks ago but it was still a secret the two were dating.

"We're home, Wil!" Phil called out from the downstairs hallway. The 3, Techno, Phil, and Tommy. Had just been out doing some sledding. Phil got no response, so he just assumed Wil was in the bathroom.
