Kattappa falls on his knees and says, "Prabhu, meri ek hi vinati hai. Pacchees (25) saalo se Devasena dand (punishment) seh rahi hai, unhe mukt kar dijiye." After hearing this Bhallaldev's face suddenly becomes stern. After a deep breath, he says, "thik hai. Vachan diya, to diya." While saying this he extends his hand to his side and a servant comes with a sword. The servant gives the sword to him. Bhallaldev holds the sword and extends it to Kattappa and says, "jao Devsena ko maarkar usse mukt kar do."

Kattappa becomes shocked after hearing this. Bhallaldev while coming close to him says, "mrityu (death) se badi mukti aur kya ho sakti hai, Kattappa? Lo!?" Kattappa doesn't take the sword so he continues, "nahi? To phir bhugatne do! Pacchees saal nahi adtees (38) saal tak bhugatne do!" Mahishmati is seen from up.
